Story
Cyles was adopted from the Des Moines ARL. He was found wandering the streets with his brother. He has grown into an amazing family dog in a household with two adults, two kids and two cats.He loves playing fetch and tug of war. He is definitely healthy mix of a gentle giant and a protector of the household. He loves playing outside but is mostly an indoor dog.Unfortunately his family owners are sick and unable to care for him so he is looking for another home that can love him just as much.

Story
Hercules came from 2 farm dogs that had a one time breeding litter. He is 6 years old. He will sit or lay down, climb and stay on a bed or he is crate trained too. He eats salmon dry food and loves it when we make eggs for him. Will lift his front paw over yours if you are petting him, to kind of pet you back. He likes to play tug of war and keep away in the yard. The boarding place we take him to on occasional weekends loves him.Our wish for him is to be with someone or a couple that can give him a little more attention than we can, take him on more walks, play with him in a yard or park more, bring him along in a vehicle more, etc.

- Loves people and companionship - Prefers to explore and do his own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once he's in a home environment and has had time to decompress - Tends to avoid other dogs; needs to be the only dog in his new home- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for him (mature home recommended) - Has been diagnosed with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, known as EPI (more info at ARL) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you're interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.- All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for age- The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, and not breed label Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 90 Age: 4yrs 8mths 0wks
