Story
Hercules came from 2 farm dogs that had a one time breeding litter. He is 6 years old. He will sit or lay down, climb and stay on a bed or he is crate trained too. He eats salmon dry food and loves it when we make eggs for him. Will lift his front paw over yours if you are petting him, to kind of pet you back. He likes to play tug of war and keep away in the yard. The boarding place we take him to on occasional weekends loves him.Our wish for him is to be with someone or a couple that can give him a little more attention than we can, take him on more walks, play with him in a yard or park more, bring him along in a vehicle more, etc.

Story
- Tends to avoid other dogs (dog intro required) - Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended) - May take some time to warm up to new dogs and may prefer some dogs over others; would be most comfortable with a slow introduction to new dogs (dog intro recommended) - Shy pup who may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet homeThis pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you're interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Brown Weight: 65 Age: 4yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
Meet Tempe! Tempe and her siblings came to us in very rough shape, skinny little babies who needed a kind and understanding heart to show them that not all people are bad. Through lots of love and care (and plenty of kibble!) We were able to get all of her litter back into good shape, happy, and growing. Tempe herself is a great dog: very loving, friendly and energetic. She gets along well with people, children and other dogs. Could probably use some more exposure with cats. She's a water dog! She loves playing and drinking water, but she drinks on her own terms. Tempe has done really well at our local adoption events but is still looking for her forever family! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Meet Bebe Looking for a gentle, shy, and oh-so-sweet pup to love? Bebe is your girl! This German Shepherd/Pitty mix has the perfect blend of brains, beauty, and heart. She's great with cats, dogs, and kids, making her a wonderful fit for a loving family. Though she's still learning the ropes of life like potty training and crate training, she shines brightest when she's playing with her siblings or soaking up head scratches and giving kisses. Bebe's story started when her brave mom, abandoned by her owner, found safety at her foster home to give birth. Dad has been faithfully by Mom's side for years, and together they've raised a litter of wonderful pups like Bebe. She may start off a little shy, but once she warms up, you'll see her fun side shine. Bebe loves to run and play with her siblings (she's the fastest of the bunch!) and will happily be your mellow cuddle buddy when it's time to rest. If you're looking for a pup who will adore you as much as you adore her, Bebe is waiting to meet you! Go ahead and submit an adoption application for her now! Favorite toy: Her siblings Best rub spot: Right between the eyes Hidden skill: Outrunning everyone at playtime! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
