Story
Welcome Remi! She is 16 weeks old and a Jack Russell German Shepherd mix. She is currently about 30 lb so she is going to be on a larger side. She's good with kids and other dogs and ok with smart cats. At first she was scared of them but how she wants to play. She's fun and playful and doesn't mind the snow or getting the zoomies. She is doing well with potty training but please keep in mind her young age. She likes to cuddle but then need to run around. She likes to play fetch and will make a great companion. She will need to be spayed by the end of June when she is old enough.

Story
I need to find a home for our two 5 yo, German shepherd mix, brother & sister. They are super sweet & extremely smart dogs. Our family situation changed a year ago. Not wanting to experience anymore loss, my son & I have been trying to keep up with caring for them. However we can't provide the care & attention they deserve. We live on a busy road & we don't have a fenced in yard. So they can't run free in the yard. We aren't able to regularly walk the dogs, so unfortunately they spend most of the day inside & bored. They would be fantastic farm dogs - they are herding dogs! They are also very aware of their surroundings & often notice when people arrive way before I do. So they are good guard dogs. They are good with kids & other animals. The male is neutered. Both are due for booster shots. They are litter mates so we'd like to keep them together if possible but we are willing to separate them. I'd be happy to share more info with anyone interested in providing them a home.

Story
Lucy & Bosco are 5 year old German shepherd mix littermates. Lucy is extremely smart. She would thrive as a working dog on a farm or as a therapy dog. She is intuitive and compassionate, loving her humans fiercely. She wants to lay at your feet, or walk right next to you wherever you go. Mostly she wants to be next to you. She likes to have a job to do. If she is not given a job, she will find her own such as herding the cat. We do not have a yard for her to play in. When trying to leash train her and her brother, she gets frustrate with him not catching on and learning things. She learns quickly if she is the only dog getting trained. She is bored every day while her brother is totally content laying around. Our family situation has recently changed. Not wanting to experience anymore loss, my son & I have been trying to care for them but they deserve better than what we can provide. We'd like them to stay together but will separate them if we need to.

Story
One year old Jacob found himself in a Texas shelter with a toe injury. He has recovered well and made his way up to Michigan in search of his forever home. He is all ears and all cute! Jacob gets along great with other dogs and loves to play. He is crate and house trained and an all around smart boy, typical of his breed. He is a little shy at first,  but comes right out of his shell after a bit. Because of his shyness, a physical fenced yard  that is higher than 4 feet high is required.  Jacob is 40 lbs (and growing), neutered, up to date in shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300.00. If you have questions about him, please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to apply for him, visit our website at www.projecthoperescue.org.December 29, 2025, 4:21 pm

Story
Bennie is a one year old German Shepherd mix, weighing about 42 pounds- neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, house trained, crate trained, great on car rides, knows sit, down, shake, and come.Bennie is extremely sweet, and although he loves to play and run, he is also happy cuddling on the couch. He has the playful puppy energy but comes already trained. He would make a great hiking or biking partner and would prefer a home with a fenced yard where he can romp or play. Bennie gets along well with other dogs. He has not been around children or cats, but with his gentle disposition, he would probably do well with children 8 and older and a dog-suave cat.Bennie was found as a stray and was extremely shy. He has come a long way in confidence, but he will need a patient family who continue to socialize and expose Bennie to new things.Bennie's adoption fee is $300.00. If you have questions not covered in this bio, please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Story
Aspen came to us as an owner surrender along with six other littermates. Their previous owner could no longer care for these sweet babies. Please note that while they are incredibly loving now, they will need consistent training due to the mix they are. Early socialization—especially meeting lots of people—is very important for puppies like these. As Cane Corso and German Shepherd (GSD) mixes, they will grow into highly intelligent dogs who can excel as loyal family companions or even naturally protective guard dogs with proper training.
