Story
Hi, I’m Teddy—a one-year-old German Shepherd mix with a big heart. I might come off as a little nervous at first; the world’s been a pretty overwhelming place for me so far. But give me a little time, a quiet corner, and a gentle voice, and I’ll start to trust. I dream of a patient human who understands that bravery takes time and love builds slowly. I’m still figuring things out, but I promise I’m worth it. With the right person by my side, I know I’ll grow into the loyal companion I was meant to be. Could that person be you?

Story
Hey there! I’m Kellogg, a 5-year-old German Shepherd mix with a classic look and a loyal heart—just like the timeless cereal brand I’m named after. I’m the dependable, wholesome kind of guy who’s always ready to stick by your side, whether you’re out for a morning jog or just enjoying a quiet bowl of cereal on the couch. I’ve got that shepherd smarts, a calm demeanor, and a touch of crunch when it comes to playtime. Life’s better with a little routine and a lot of love—and with me, you’ll get both. Start your day right—with Kellogg!

Story
This is Max! He’s a German shepherd/pit mix. We love him dearly but he just can not get along with our very confrontational husky. They’ve gotten into several altercations and it’s time we rehome him. He’s one of the sweetest boys ever for the size of him (110lbs). It breaks my heart to let him go but at this point we are out of options next to putting him in a shelter which I would prefer not to do. He’s house trained well, he very very rarely pees in the house and only if it’s been too long in between breaks. He goes 8 hours regularly inside while at work with 0 issues. He’s a very sweet energetic boy. He would be well suited for a home by himself with maybe 1 cat. He loves to chew on chew toys. We received Max at about a year old from another family who got him for their kids but they didn’t want to take care of him. He’s relatively well behaved, he doesn’t jump up but he will nudge you for love. Don’t be discouraged by his size, he’s a very sweet loving boy.

Ninja is a very handsome shepherd mix with soft fluffy fur. He is around 3 years old and 50 lbs. Just the right size. He is a friendly and quiet dog and usually very calm and collected. Ninja is very well-behaved and is a true gentleman. He gets along with other dogs and loves making new friends. He is very curious and loves to explore. He has a heart of gold and will be very loyal to his forever family. He would be the perfect companion and the ideal furry friend for all. He is a very friendly dog and probably will get along with cats as well. Ninja doesn't seem like a big wrestler but he would enjoy walks and snuggling with other furry friends. He rides very well in the car. He would love a forever home with lots of love and attention. Story
One year old Jacob found himself in a Texas shelter with a toe injury. He has recovered well and made his way up to Michigan in search of his forever home. He is all ears and all cute! Jacob gets along great with other dogs and loves to play. He is crate and house trained and an all around smart boy, typical of his breed. He is a little shy at first,  but comes right out of his shell after a bit. Because of his shyness, a physical fenced yard is required.  Jacob is 40 lbs (and growing), neutered, up to date in shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300.00. Please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com if you have questions about him. Ready to apply for him, visit our website at www.projecthoperescue.org and fill out one of our adoption applications.March 22, 2025, 8:47 pm
