Story
One year old Jacob found himself in a Texas shelter with a toe injury. He has recovered well and made his way up to Michigan in search of his forever home. He is all ears and all cute! Jacob gets along great with other dogs and loves to play. He is crate and house trained and an all around smart boy, typical of his breed. He is a little shy at first,  but comes right out of his shell after a bit. Because of his shyness, a physical fenced yard  that is higher than 4 feet high is required.  Jacob is 40 lbs (and growing), neutered, up to date in shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300.00. If you have questions about him, please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to apply for him, visit our website at www.projecthoperescue.org.March 9, 2026, 5:54 pm

Story
Meet Jasmine Jasmine is a soft, soulful girl with a playful, goofy side that really shines once she feels comfortable. She may need a little time to settle in and get to know new people, but the bonds she forms are something truly special. Jasmine recently spent a few weeks in a foster home, where we got to see so much more of the amazing dog she is. She’s the kind of girl who can spend 30 minutes chasing a tennis ball, splash around in a kiddie pool, happily head out for a long walk, and then come inside to snooze near her favorite person for the rest of the evening. She LOVES water, fetch, treats, lick mats, and giving kisses. And if you get up from the couch, don’t be surprised if she steals your warm spot before you get back.  Her foster family described her as 95% happy, playful, relaxed, and sweet—and we think that’s the Jasmine everyone deserves to know. New people can make Jasmine nervous, and when she’s unsure, she may greet them with a loud bark. But her foster family learned something important: give her patience, let her meet people at her own pace, and she blossoms into one of the sweetest, goofiest, and most loyal companions. During her foster stay, Jasmine became best buddies with her foster family’s other dog after slow introductions and spent her days trying to convince her to play. She could enjoy having a playful canine friend, but she’d also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention herself. Jasmine walks nicely on leash and enjoys getting out for walks, sniffing, and exploring. She also appeared to be potty trained while in her foster home! She would likely do best with a family who can offer patience, consistency, and the time to let her adjust at her own pace. Once she feels safe, her fun-loving personality and tender heart make getting to know her incredibly rewarding. Jasmine is currently our longest resident, and while we’ve loved watching her grow and come out of her shell, we’re ready to see her finally get the home she’s been waiting for. We know her family is out there. Maybe they’ve just been waiting to meet her. Jasmine at a Glance: Age: 3 years old Favorite Activities: Playing fetch, splashing in water, long walks, zoomies, treats and lick mats, giving kisses, and snoozing near her favorite person Training: Walks nicely on leash, appeared to be potty trained in her foster home, and continues to build confidence with patient introductions Personality: Sweet, sensitive, playful, goofy, loyal, and a little nervous with new people at first ##2669536##

Story
I am a single parent working only part time and in college, I didn't want to get these dogs to begin with but at that time I had a very abusive boyfriend that decided to bring them home and when I finally was able to get rid of the boyfriend he didn't take any of his pets. I don't have time for these dogs they are stuck in the cage all day and night and I don't have money for vet appointments. They are up to date on their shots, Brother and Sister 1 year old. The female is fixed, male is not. German shepherd and Pitbull mixed. They are good dogs, they love to play together and love to play in water and will jump right into a kiddie pool to play. I have food, toys, a dog bed etc to send with. They have never been separated but I understand if you just want one of them.
