Well, Onyx threw us for a loop! We thought she was a bit older but it looks like we have a pup on our hands! Onyx is total Shepherd; smart, energetic, willing to please, playful! She does GREAT with people of all ages. She would benefit from training or a job but she is easy to train and eager to learn!  Age: 4 years old Breed:  Black Shepherd Weight:  40lbs Kid-friendly: Onyx is high energy but great with all people! Cats: No cats Crate trained: Yes! Potty trained: Yes! Likes: Onyx is a high energy girl that loves to play, run and exercise! She is very treat motivated, loves pets and cuddles and REALLY wants to catch a squirrel Health concerns: None Adoption fee: $375 As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us.      Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.) Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine and if able, a microchip. $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test, a microchip, and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.  Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience. We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation. Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days. Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!  September 22, 2023, 9:28 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi there, I'm Pooh- I'm very friendly but can be a shy pup sometimes, I like getting wet in the kiddy pool since I am still a puppy and can’t really swim yet. I also like exploring my surroundings and new friends I meet. I'm well behaved also have no trouble sleeping in my kennel along with getting potty trained, together we can have so much fun. I tend be energetic after a long nap so I need to do potty right after! I love giving kisses as well as getting ear scratches and hugs I feel safe that way. I get scared of big loud noises so maybe introducing me to big scary things will be nice so I learn to not be scared of them anymore. Still being taught how to walk with my harness on and with just my collar as well. I'm not used to playing with toys just other dogs. I do well with big dogs and idolize them and hope to be one and just as smart as they are. I'm looking for a lovely home with lots of yard for me to run in and have fun with I love kids I love humans I love sleeping and being cuddled I will be your protector and best friend.
