Story
Thunder is a fun loving, young shepherd mix who thinks he is a lap dog. Thunder has been here since he was quite small, although he is still a puppy he has spent several weeks growing up here in the shelter and it isn't doing him any favors, Thunder is very stressed out in the shelter environment here and we want him to find a loving home asap! Thunder is such a smart boy, he is extremely food motivated and loves to learn new tricks! He pottys outside if given the oppurtunity and he walks decent on a leash, Thunder does well with most other dogs and although he can sometimes be a bit shy he usually does well with children too!

Story
Meet Ollie! Ollie is the perfect dog who would be just as happy to be lying around with you on a Sunday afternoon or playing outside. He loves to play with toys. Hard bones are his favorite but he loves to steal one of the other dog's babies when we aren't watching him. He likes to do zoomies outside with the other foster dogs. He gets along with all the other dogs in the home. He is treat and food motivated but not food aggressive. He isn't a pushy about it. He is happy about getting a popcorn treat and doesn't let one touch the floor! Ollie would love to spend time in or near a bed with you. He loves his/her people! Ollie doesn't seem to mind a bath and he has has the silkiest and softest fur we've ever seen! Ollie is potty trained and has is up to date on all his vaccines. He has been neutered. He went for a vet visit and was perfect! Ollie will enter his kennel for a treat but really would rather be left out. We don't know how he would be left alone. He's got some fear of thunderstorms but in Kansas who wouldn't be afraid of them?

Story
Meet Koopa! 65 lbs • Sweetheart status: confirmed Koopa is a tall, lanky, lovable pup with a heart of gold. He’s calm, affectionate, and incredibly gentle—an easygoing companion who gets along great with other dogs and even cats (though he doesn’t quite understand why they don’t want to play like puppies do!). He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and knows his basic commands. He sleeps in his crate at night and is happy to hang there when you’re out, especially if there’s a treat involved. He walks well on a leash and rides great in the car—he just needs a little encouragement getting in, as he’s still learning every ride ends with coming back home. Koopa is also a champion snuggler who would love nothing more than to curl up right beside (or on) you. He’s convinced he’s a lapdog—he’s just still figuring out he’s a bit too big for that. Toys? He’s a squeaky toy assassin, but give him a tough chew toy and he’ll happily keep himself entertained. He especially loves to settle into his bed with a good chew. Koopa would thrive in a home with a playful dog buddy to help ease his occasional separation anxiety—he’s getting better every day. He adores kids too, but he’s still working on remembering that not all children want a big, bouncy kiss from a 65-pound puppy. With some guidance, he’ll get there. Koopa has even been a huge help with his foster family’s 10-week-old puppy—he’s patient, gentle, and basically a professional puppy sitter. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, affectionate dog who just wants to love and be loved, Koopa might just be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Raymond! Raymond is a beautiful & sweet 5 year old German Shepherd. He was pulled from the local pound, where his collar was on so tight that the pound guys had to cut it off, & his tail was half gone- bone showing. He had the rest of his tail amputated & it has healed up well. Poor Raymond has had such a rough up bringing but he has made it to the right place, because we’re going to find him the best home! Despite all his past challenges, he remains a good, smiley boy 🥰 loving all people who come to see him. Raymond is also dog friendly!! Let us know if you’d like to adopt Raymond by placing an adoption application on our website!

Story
Hi, I`m Valencia! Now, don`t let my lofty name fool you. I`m as down-to-earth as they come. Just a simple gal with a love for long walks and snacks. You`re probably wondering how I ended up here. Well, it involves a squirrel, a trampoline, and a very surprised mailman. Let`s just say, I`ve got a knack for adventure and a bit of a squirrel obsession. But don`t worry, I`ve learned my lesson. No more trampolines for me! I`m smart, friendly, and curious. I`ll keep you laughing with my goofy antics and boundless energy. I`m ready to bring joy and laughter into your life. Adopt me and let`s start our adventure together!
