Story
Rugar is a big, roudy, playful, protective, loud, affectionate, smart baby. He is very protective and can act aggressive. He barks. He's big so he's intimidating. Rugar is good with other dogs. He's good with older kids. He's big and doesn't realize his strength and may knock down smaller kids. He's very smart and learns fast. Rugar would actually do better with a male in charge. He responds much better to men than women. Rugar is 4 yrs old. He's a good boy! I am 71 and now recuperating from a broken hip. Yes, Rugar took me down. He was in a frenzy running outside a lady's fenced yard, chasing her dogs. She has 5. I am forced to keep Rugar on a leash/chain. Something I said I would never do! He's miserable! He needs to be able to run.

She would be okay in a home with cats. KID TEST: (Okay with Older Kids) We do not believe that Judy has ever been around kids. Judy will potty outside when given the opportunity. ENERGY LEVEL: (High) Judy loves being outside more than anything. She loves running around the backyard with toys in her mouth. Judy is still learning how to play fetch but is getting the hang of it! Judy loves to be glued to your side and tends to take to people quickly. LEASH WALKING: (Needs Work) Judy is eager to go on walks and tends to pull out of excitement! Judy would benefit from more leash training. Story
COURTESY POST Jackson is such a fabulous boy. He's about five years old and recently lost his person and his home when his dad became very ill. Jackson is confused and lonely. He misses being in a real home and having someone to call his own. He'd love a fenced yard or daily walks, and he loves everyone: people of all ages, cats, and other dogs. Jackson just wants to be with someone who will love him. For now, Jackson is staying at the Humboldt, Kansas, shelter. You can call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387, and we'll connect you with the folks there.
