Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Chuck is 2.5yo. He was raised with 2 other dogs and 2 house cats. Hasn’t been around any other animals in past year. Due to health issues he wasn’t properly socialized. He knows all the basic commands come sit down stay place break leave it. He still pulls on lead while walking because we don’t practice walking on lead enough. He loves to play. His 2 favorite toys are his balls and tires. He is a fearful dog due to lack of socialization but quickly builds confidence in new situations with proper handling. I will neuter him prior to rehoming. He is good off lead in big open spaces. He loves water. He’ll happily jump into tub to be sprayed down and chase water. Loves to play in leaves and catch snow as you shovel. Rides in vehicles well. He’s my best friend and could be yours as well.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This is my German Shepherd/black Lab mix. Her name is Snacks. She’s four years old, she’s been spayed, up to date on shots, and just had a nail trim. She is the sweetest. She loves to act like a lap dog, even though she’s about 70 pounds, and she likes to play with other dogs (I have had her with another dog in my home and there’s never been any issues). She’s super smart and learns new commands well. She’s fully house-trained, has never had an accident in the house, and she’s kennel trained. I’m looking to rehome her as I just broke up with my partner, who was able to help me when I needed to take Snacks to the vet or for a nail trim. I’m disabled and have never been able to handle Snacks. She is on a tie-out cable in the backyard so she won’t jump the fence, and she still manages to break the cable or get her harness off and run into the street. It’s not safe. The new home would need a six-foot privacy fence all around to ensure she won’t jump it, or she’d need to be walked.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Zeke is a 2 year-old German Shepherd mix who is looking for a forever home. Sadly he was abused as a puppy, and was surrendered to Dog Gone Problems. But we have worked with him on his fears and he is now ready for a forever home. He is a good dog who deserves a home where he is loved and protected. Zeke is neutered, potty and kennel trained, walks great on the leash, loves to play fetch and is smart; picking up new tricks easily. You can watch a video about Zeke on Youtube at https://youtu.be/qf-Iy6Y5hSc We're going to give whoever adopts Zeke some free dog training from Dog Gone Problems to help him settle in and learn some new tricks with you! Looking for someone with a fenced in yard and no other dogs since Zeke can get jelous due to what happened to him as a puppy. Its been a long journey for Zeke, but brighter days are ahead once we find him a home where he can be the star of the show.

Story
4 years old and full of energy! Pepper loves to hike, run, explore, but cuddle too. She is house trained, knows all of the basic commands, friendly and sweet. She is the ideal companion and the example of a man’s best friend. Peppers best fit home would have no kids under 12 and no cats or small animals that might look like toys. She is good with other dogs but should meet them first! She is good in an apartment but must be taken on lots of walks or dog park trips.

Story
Marla (b. 4/2018) is a beautiful German Shepard looking for a patient, consistent owner. She is looking for a home that is able to provide her with stability to help her overcome her fears and help get her on the right track! Marla would love to live in a new home as an only dog but with the proper intro, she could potentially be OK! She is reactive to dogs in general and would need multiple visits with her new adopter. She would, however, do best in a home with no children. Young children and other high strung dogs really stress her out. Marla also needs a 6 foot fence because she can clear a 4 foot fence with no problems. With lots of structure, positive reinforcement, and the help of a trainer, we are confident that Marla will blossom into a great companion. If you think Marla would be a great addition to your family, please fill out an application to meet this sweet girl! Adoptions for Marla are limited to the area within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area so the pet can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainer. The suggested adoption donation for Marla is $315. We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs. If you and the dog are not a good match, we will help you select another dog, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Jack (b. 10/2019) is a gorgeous all black German Shepard who loves being outside where he can run and play! This guy loves people but is initially shy and cautious  until he gets better aquainted. He loves playing games such as tug, chasing a tennis ball and with other dogs at times.  He doesn't always know his own size and strength, so please no young children under the age of 12. When it comes to potty training, Jack is learning the ropes and is almost there!  Jack is used to being the only dog in the home and has some separation anxiety when left alone, especially when kenneled. Due to his strong prey drive, no cats please. Jack needs a large yard with a 6 ft fence (at a minimum) to keep him safe and happy. Happy dog, happy owner! All applicants must agree to work with a Muddy Paws trainer after adoption and it may require a couple meetings to ensure a smooth happy transition. He is a wonderful dog that just needs a patient owner while he learns to trust. If you are feeling up to the challenge, please apply to adopt Jack today! Adoptions for Jack are limited to within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area so the pet can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainer if necessary. The suggested adoption donation for Jack is $400. We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
