Story
The guy behind this sweet smile is Toby. He is a fan of running, balls, and sleeping inside or outside. Tobi can get a bit over excited on car rides...he is just so curious where you are going. He is pretty chill when left alone, after he has time to adjust to a home of course. Tobi has lived with kids and did well. He also is pretty chill when meeting new people. The biggest challenge Tobi has is meeting other dogs. He hasn't told us if his reaction is because of fear, nervousness or that he just doesn't know how to act...but he frankly doesn't do well with other dogs right now. Toby has tons of pawtential to learn how to manage this quirk. Our staff recommends that you both explore training with a certified trainer who can give you strategies to help him overcome and adapt. Bonus...attending training together will help you grow strong as a team. Trust us...this guy is worth all you put into helping him be his best self.

Story
Abbott is a young Malinois mix, around 1 year old and about 40 lbs, with a gentle soul and so much potential. He's spent much of his life in a shelter environment with his brother, so the world outside is still a bit new to him—but he's taking it all in stride. Abbott can be a little reserved when meeting new people and situations, but underneath that initial shyness is a very sweet, thoughtful boy. Once he starts to feel safe, his soft and affectionate side really begins to show. He can be a bit picky about his dog friends, but with slow, proper introductions he's able to make new ones successfully. Abbott would thrive in a patient, understanding home that can give him the time he needs to build confidence. With consistency and kindness, he's sure to blossom into a loyal and loving companion. If you're looking for a soft-hearted pup who just needs a chance to shine, Abbott might be your perfect match. Story
Sarah and her sisters were on the euth list at a CA shelter and we couldn't let that happen. They are now safe and sound at our sanctuary and will ready for their forever home in May. They are very sweet, playful and energetic girls and can't wait to feel safe and happy in a permanent home. Sarah is a 4Âס month old Belgian Malinois puppy who is equal parts adorable and full of life. She's a busy girl who loves to stay on the move—whether she's chasing toys, exploring her surroundings, or finding new ways to entertain herself. She can be a little nervous at first in new situations, but with a bit of patience and reassurance, her playful and curious personality really starts to shine. She's incredibly smart and already showing just how quickly she can learn, but like any young Malinois, Sarah will need guidance to help her grow into her best self. She's looking for a home that is active, patient, and experienced with the breed, and ready to invest time into training and building a strong bond with her. Sarah thrives when she has something to do, so she'll do best in a home that can keep both her mind and body engaged. With consistency and structure, she has the potential to become an incredibly loyal and well-rounded companion. Story
Pie is a beautiful German Shepherd / Husky mix with striking heterochromia — one of her eyes is a different color than the other, giving her a truly unique look.Pie was surrendered to Boxers & Buddies shortly after giving birth to her puppies when her previous owner was no longer able to care for her and the litter. Now that her puppies are growing up, Pie is finally getting the chance to focus on herself, and she’s thriving in her foster home.Pie gets along well with the resident 5 dogs and does well around cats. She does like to encourage the cats to play, so any feline friends in her future home should be comfortable around dogs. She’s a very sweet girl who loves people, but she’s still learning her manners. Pie can get so excited to see her humans that she may jump up to say hello. Because of this, we recommend a home with children over 5 while she continues working on her polite greetings. With time, training, and consistency, we expect her to keep improving.Pie would thrive in a home that will:• Continue helping her learn good manners• Provide structure and consistent training• Appreciate a sweet, playful companionPie is a loving girl who’s ready for a fresh start and a family who will help her continue growing into her best self.If you think Pie could be the missing piece of your family, we’d love to hear from you. Before adoption, all Boxers & Buddies dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. All dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are treated like family while practicing socialization skills. Our adoption process:Once an application is submitted, our adoption team will contact you within 24 hours. After an interview and home check, a meet and greet will be scheduled. If you currently have a dog or dogs, they must attend the meet and greet. If you rent your home, you will be expected to provide a copy of your rental agreement showing that dogs are allowed. As part of our adoption contract, all dogs are required to attend a training course or puppy socialization class conducted by a certified positive reinforcement trainer. We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions.
