Story
Meet Ghost, a fun-loving, busy guy who’s ready to bring energy and personality into your home. Ghost has experience living with kids and enjoys their company, but he can be a little rowdy at times and doesn’t always realize his size, so he’d do best with kids who are comfortable around big, enthusiastic dogs.Ghost gets along well with other dogs and is also good with cats, making him a great candidate for a multi-pet household. He’s a smart, curious shepherd who thrives when he has things to do—projects are his love language. He enjoys ripping up toys, investigating new smells, licking, chewing, and staying mentally engaged. He is potty trained but does not enjoy being crated and may experience some separation distress, so a home that can offer patience, structure, and alternative confinement options would be ideal.Ghost is looking for an active home that appreciates a busy brain and a big heart. With the right outlets and guidance, he’ll be a loyal, entertaining, and rewarding companion.

Story
Any dog who makes it out of the southern shelters is one of the lucky ones… but this little gal is truly the definition of that word. When we saw the uncertainty in her eyes and understood what her fate was going to be, we knew we couldn’t leave her behind. This sweet girl is Zelda. She’s just 5 months old, weighs 25lbs, and a mixed breed of adorableness.Zelda is dog friendly and family friendly! If her gentle eyes don’t tell you her story, her soft puppy snuggles and quiet kisses certainly will. All this girl wants is love. We don’t know what she’s been through or what kind of care — or lack of it — she’s had. But we do know one thing: she’ll never have to worry about that again. We’ve promised Zelda that from this moment on, the only thing she ever has to worry about is what type of treats she prefers. We can’t wait to welcome Zelda into the Tailgait family on Friday. Zelda will be ready for adoption after her vet appointment on the 18th (tentative), and we’d love nothing more than to have a family who sees that same beautiful soul in those eyes as we do. They’re all lucky… but this little gal has no idea just how lucky she is. Reach out to us at Tailgaitadoptions@gmail.com to learn more about this sweet girl. Story
Zeke is a handsome 3-legged boy who was surrendered due to his owner going into the military. Zeke is a bit of a nervous nelly, so he is looking for an understanding and gentle owner. He has successfully lived with a Shih tzu in the past. He is not a fan of overly playful dogs, so if he goes home with another dog it should be a laid back one. Zeke enjoys his crate, and uses it as a safe space to retreat when he is feeling nervous. It will be important that his new owner(s) have the space for a properly sized crate to help him feel comfortable. Zeke needs to lose a bit of weight to stay healthy. This is especially important since he is a tripod. The less extra weight, the healthier his joints will be. If you are interested in Zeke, give us a call at 603-472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions.
