Story
Meet Jolene, the charming 2-year-old German Shepherd looking for her forever home! This sweet girl was discovered tied to a cluster of mailboxes with her pink leash, abandoned and confused. Initially cautious, Jolene quickly realized her rescuer was ready to help and leaped into her car - the rest is history!  Despite her past abandonment, Jolene is resilient and loves people. With her affectionate nature, Jolene is a people and dog enthusiast, always ready to play and make new friends. Don’t be fooled though, this fun girl loves a good nap cuddled on the couch with her people. Up-to-date on her shots and fixed, this lovable girl is eager to embark on adventures and bask in the love of a devoted family. Jolene’s zest for life requires an active household, as she’s prone to bouts of boredom that might manifest in the occasional chew or dig. An apartment left empty for hours won’t suit this loyal girl; she craves companionship and activity to thrive. So, if you’re seeking a sweet, loving, loyal girl to join your adventures, cuddle on the couch and be your best friend, look no further than Jolene, the German Shepherd with the most loving heart.  If you are interested in adopting Jolene, please contact her foster below: Mary Brandt, 210-601-9654, mary@chuckstransport.com You can also submit an application at the website below:  www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         July 21, 2024, 10:45 am

Story
Max is a 2 year old Shepherd mix weighing around 60lbs. He’s a bit nervous and takes some time to trust new people but once he warms up he’s a total lovebug! Max is very dog friendly, he loves to play with the rambunctious dogs but will also tone it down and is respectful enough to live with a small dog as well. He REALLY likes cats and will want to give them a sniff but is not overbearing. He crates well and is potty trained when kept on a consistent routine. He walks wonderfully on a leash and really enjoys long sniffy walks in quiet places. Max is another dog who came to us from the KY hoarding situation after being saved by TLC Rescue. He’s ready for a nice, quiet place to decompress and being fostered or adopted by someone who can give him some extra 1on1 attention would be a huge game changer for him right now. Max is fully vetted and ready for adoption, but you can always try our foster-to-adopt program if you want to make sure he’s the perfect fit for you. If you’re interested in adopting Max or getting pre-approved for any of our other dogs, please fill out an adoption application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt

Story
Aren't they GORGEOUS! Wow these two girls are absolutely wonderful dogs! They are mom and pup! Thelma is mama and Louise is her pup! We do not know their past as we were not their original rescue. However when they came to us they were completely emaciated. Absolute skin over bones! It took a good solid month for them to slowly gain the weight they needed. Through all of this they remained the sweetest girls. Thelma is very house trained and Louise needs reminded to go outside frequently. Thelma is super friendly with everybody she meets and Louis is slightly shy at first but warms up quickly! Both adore each other and will remain together for adoption. Neither are good with cats. Thelma and Louise were adopted from the previous rescue and unfortunately the new owners didn't know Thelma was very dog aggressive. She had gotten loose during a walk and attacked another dog. She lost part of her ear during this fight. You can see in the pictures one ear is slightly shorter then the other. Due to Thelma dislike for other dogs we have to adopt to a home with solid privacy fence. A neighboring dog would not be best for her either. We will also require a double door entry meaning there must be a porch or mud room etc. When Thelma goes for walks she will need to be muzzled. Thelma has been properly muzzle trained and rehabilitation has been done. She can exist around other dogs and remain in a calmer state but she can NOT live with another. She should not be trusted with another dog other then her own pup... Louise. Louise is not dog aggressive. We know that Thelma may sound like a huge problem dog to adopt but she is actually wonderful!!!!! You'll just need to meet those few requirements and she will make an amazing companion. Our dogs are fully vetted. This includes spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, rabies, microchipped, Heartworm and Lyme tested, worming, flea treatments, Heartworm prevention started and any other medical care needed. Our adoption fee also includes 6-week group obedience class (value $125.) If adopting a puppy under age we cover spay/neuter at 6 months. Adoption fee for this dog is $300 (for both girls- not each) To apply to adopt: Visit our website- www.caninepartnersprograminc.org Click Adoption tab- Read about our adoption process and requirements then complete the adoption application by clicking on the rescues face. Their info will pop up with an application button. Canine Partners Program giving dogs a second chance at a happy life with our rehabilitation program! Story
Meet Thor, the German Shepherd/Husky mix with a personality as big as his name. What does that mean? Independence! This guy's independence runs so deep, he probably has his own Wi-Fi network. Thor loves people, but let's get one thing straight: he's not here to be your pet. He's here to be your partner. If you're an active person looking for a four-legged co-pilot, Thor's your guy. He needs plenty of space to run, but also a fence to keep him from raiding the neighbor's trash like a raccoon with a gym membership. Thor's cool with other dogs but hasn't had a long-term roommate before. He's still learning the subtleties of doggie diplomacy. He needs a laid-back sibling who loves to wrestle and snuggle but won't hold a grudge if Thor accidentally hogs the bed. Stubbornness? Thor's got it in spades, courtesy of his GSD and Husky heritage. He needs a person who understands that bribes, ahem, rewards, work wonders. Thor wants to please you, but only on his terms and timeline. Think of him as a furry negotiation partner. Our staff and trainers have put in countless hours helping Thor shake off his past and embrace his potential. He's now ready to find his forever human, preferably one with breed experience and a high tolerance for doggy independence. Thor is more of a man's dog but will graciously tolerate women if they meet his high standards of belly rubs and treat-giving. Think you're up to the challenge of being Thor's partner in crime? Apply now! Our adoption fee also includes 6-week group obedience class (value $125.) If adopting a puppy underage, we cover spay/neuter at 6 months. If applying for a dog listed as "foster to adopt this simply means you start out as a foster home while their medical situation and/or spay & neuters are being done and then you adopt once complete.
