Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Autumn is a wonderful girl who is finally ready to seek out a permanent home. Autumn is cautiously optimistic about new people. She is curious, but smart enough to go slow. Those who are patient with this curiosity win her over quickly (aka she comes to you, you don’t come to her). She absolutely thrives around other confident and playful dogs, so her ideal home would have at least 1 playful dog who also enjoys daily playing. A slower senior or tiny dog who is more sensitive may not be a great fit, because she will be bored. Autumn currently attends daycare 5 days a week with her foster home, and lives with other dogs who love to play with her. While she doesn’t require daycare, she definitely has the energy level and enjoyment to continue play dates with others or a family that is more active outdoors. She does require a fenced yard due to her previous situations, it is just a better option for her. Autumn can walk well on a leash well but can get startled and scared over really loud stimuli so we do walk her in less chaotic environments. Autumn has been introduced to cats with no concerns, and lives with teenagers. She does definitely seem more weary of men in general, so that may take a bit more time and treats to warm her up. She is crate trained, but she also behaves pretty well outside of a crate if left alone unless we take her friends out without her and then she may cry and howl at the window. We have learned to load her up in the car before them for daycareVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 3, 2023, 11:06 am

Story
Benny is 5 years old, I got him from a breeder on Keuka Lake, he is energetic but well behaved. He comes when he is called, can sit, lay, stay, and is friendly toward people. I took him to an obedience class which taught me how to curb undesirable behaviors. Treats work well with him, he has learned to go on walks without pulling, he likes to chew bones and is content in a crate. He has been aggressive toward my other dogs so I would suggest not adopting him if you have a dog already. He is a bit skiddish but has always been treated well, he is also loyal and attentive. Abednego needs to run each day, without exercise he becomes winy. I care deeply for him but can not take the time he needs to be a content dog.

Story
Bruno was saved from euthanasia at the last minute. He had been picked up as a stray, but even though his owner knew he was at the city shelter, didn't come pick him up. He is a sweetheart. With a little training, he will be a very good boy. He is Shepherd mix and they are very loyal dogs. We have no doubt that he will be someone's best friend.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41
