Looking to rehome our almost 8 year old German shepherd. She is good with our kids for the most part but isn’t aware of her size. Older children would be better for her. Gets along with other dogs. Not a big fan of cats. Loves to play fetch. She had both ccl surgeries on her back legs when she was four due to slipping on our deck when it was rainy. she does great and has no issues with her hips or knees, the doctor did a great job with her ccl surgeries. If she is extremely active although sometimes she likes to lay down more as she has gotten older. Iris loves dog treats and knows commands of sit and lay down. She has always been in a fenced in yard. We want her to go to a loving home.

We adopted Karl from a breeder as a pup. He’s always been very good with our other dogs and cats, he is intact. He does well with our children though he is very reactive with a lot of commotion but it’s always just barking; I definitely feel this is on us due to his breed needing to be worked daily and intensely trained. He listens very well, he never leaves his boundary, he walks our perimeter with me everyday for 40 minutes, he knows sit, down and shake. He is a good boy, our family is just too busy to give him the German shepherd attentiveness he needs. He does suffer from allergies (itching) but we have been able to resolve this completely with salmon food and withholding beef and pork from his diet. Someone who is experienced with separation anxiety, German shepherd or work breeds would do very well for Karl.

Meet Babs! Babs is estimated to be around 12 years old but you would be surprised to see how high she jumps (straight in the air!) when she sees someone she knows! She's equally excited about her food and treats too! Babs loves to go for walks and walks very politely on the leash. She and another dog came to us after being found by the Wood County Dog Shelter tied to farm equipment. She is more than ready to retire with the amenities of an indoor dog lifestyle Kids: Babs is an older dog who may need to be homed with kids older than 12 as to understand and respect animal boundaries. Dogs: Babs does not like other dogs. Cats: Babs does not like cats and should not be homed with them. Babs is not yet spayed but is fully up to date on all vaccinations and preventions. Meet Dodger. He was saved from an overcrowded shelter where he was at risk of euthanasia. He is now fully vetted, neutered and all vaccines. Dodger did test positive for Ehrlichia before he came to us and was put on a regimen of doxycycline. He should need no further treatment and has no symptoms. He loves to play with other dogs and would benefit from another dog in the household. Probably not a good candidate for a home with cats. He is a friendly guy but young children may not be a good fit due to his exuberance . I do prefer a fenced yard for Dodger so he can play and burn off energy. His foster dad has been working on commands with him and Dodger is a quick learner and doing great. He has mastered many commands. He is a smart leaner and wants to please. He will heed a caregiver willing to exercise him. His foster family has told us that he loves to swim in their pond. His adoption fee is $200.
