Kira is a nearly one-year-old female German Shepherd mix who checks all the boxes: she’s kid-friendly, crate-trained, vaccinated, spayed, and full of that classic GSD energy, intelligence, and loyalty. She’s great with large breed dogs, adores her people, and shines when she has a job to do.
She loves playing fetch, tug-of-war, and running in the yard. Kira is protective in the best way—devoted to her family, especially children—and is happiest when included in daily life.
She does have one area she’s working on — food guarding — particularly around small dogs. Because of this, we are looking for an experienced home that understands the breed and is committed to helping Kira be her best through structure, training, and consistency.
🛑 Applications that do not meet the following requirements will not be considered:
✅ NO small dogs in the home
✅ German Shepherd experience required
✅ Must be active and able to meet her high energy needs
✅ Must be committed to obedience training, behavior support, and socialization
✅ Must be willing to follow retraining guidance for food guarding
✅ Must have an excellent relationship with your veterinarian
✅ Must use monthly heartworm prevention
