Zeus is a German Shepard husky mix and he is 4 years old he is a great dog, not good with strangers at first but once he gets used to you he will love you. I wish I could keep him but my landlord doesnt want me to have him anymore. He is house trained, and crate trained. He just deserves a good home where he will be loved and I just can't give that to him right now.

Story
Hahn is a good boy. Loves attention and following around the “chosen one” with everything they do. He’s very big. I picked him up in Iowa from Royal Aires German Shepherds 6 years ago. He loves water and to be outside. Good with other dogs as well as cats. Currently with kids and work schedule he isn’t getting the attention he needs and occasionally lets us know by acting out. For some reason likes this one piece of trim in kitchen but that’s on us. It’s not fair he’s cooped up in the house with very little interaction. Would love to find him a home where he can get that.

Story
Meet Ftitz.  Coming to us since he faced probable euthanasia at a dog pound in southern OH. Not that anything was wrong with him they just put dogs down. We believe he about 3 years old and is a purebred Shepherd. Fritz will be a big boy once he gains the weight he desperately needs. He has gained some and is currently at 70 pounds but needs to gain more. Doesn’t seem to mind other dogs, maybe too interested in cats. He is very friendly with all the people he has met. He is darn near perfect behavior wise. Fritz has now been neutered and received the balance of his vetting. He is negative on the 4dx test. He will need an active adopter who is willing to provider daily exercise and enrichment. We do prefer a fenced yard for him. He has been on a kennel too long and needs a home, even a foster home. Fritz’s adoption fee is $275. If interested in Fritz, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com. June 2, 2025, 9:28 pm

Story
This is Rosie (pointed ears) and Lily (floppy ears). They’ve been together since they were puppies, so they need to go to a home together. We rescued them from a family member's home. Their living conditions were not okay; they were always in their cages. They were let outside, then they’d come back inside and be put into a cage where they slept, ate, and spent their whole day. We took them in to try to give them a better home, but our living situation has changed since taking them in. We now have kids and are unable to provide them with the care and attention they deserve. After having our second baby, it became too much for me to care for two kids and dogs. It hurts my heart that I have to rehome them. But they need a home that’s able to provide them with more love and attention. They really are wonderful dogs. They listen very well, are house/potty trained, can sit, and are good with children as well as other pets (cats and dogs). Rosie loves all the attention; she loves to play and cuddle. She loves all the stuffies as well. Lily we call “the mom.” She’s very motherly and loves to just chill and sleep. They both love to go on car rides and walks as well! They are both female, 6 years old, born in November 2018 from the same litter. They are a German shepherd and miniature pinscher mix, medium sized dogs. They are both spayed but not up to date on vaccines. I would love for them to go to a home that has a yard for them to roam in and not be confined in a cage or room all day.

German Shepherd Dog

Male, Young
Ashland, OH
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Xander is a 2 y.o male Czech and Belgium bloodline working dog, he needs to go a home where he is worked, he needs someone experienced with bite work, scent work, schuzhound/IPO, search and rescue as these would probably be the best work choices that will take him to the next level. He will not be a good fit for someone who wants to parade him around in large crowds or strange dogs unless you have the skills train him. He has some aggressions towards strangers and strange dogs and unfortunately we cant have him in a situation that would stress him out. Xander is a true working class dog and needs worked period, if you are looking to just walk etc.. him he is NOT for you. He knows come, sit, wait(at door ways),back up, place(cot or kennel), guard(enter from your rear and lay between your legs, heel, he walks very well on a leash with a prong collar, he responds very well to vibrate and chirp on a e-collar also. You must show proof of previous experience to be considered.
