Story
I'm Nami! I am a balanced energy girl who loves to learn new things and play with my dog friends! I am OK with Cats. Best with older children... I have a calm, cool demeanor and a LOT of resilience! I am a mixed breed, but my personality is definitely that of a German shepherd and huskey! I am currently being boarded with a trainer to work on some resource guarding issues. I would do well with experienced handlers, especially those with training experience. Let's be best friends!!

Story
Meet Dodger. He was saved from an overcrowded shelter where he was at risk of euthanasia. He is now fully vetted, neutered and all vaccines. Dodger did test positive for Ehrlichia before he came to us and was put on a regimen of doxycycline. He should need no further treatment and has no symptoms. He loves to play with other dogs and would benefit from another dog in the household. Not yet sure on cats. He is a friendly guy but young children may not be a good fit due to his exuberance .  I do prefer a fenced yard for Dodger so he can play and burn off energy. His foster dad has been working on commands with him and Dodger is a quick learner and doing great. His foster family has told us that he loves to swim in their pond.  His adoption fee is $200. If interested in Dodger, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com. NmJune 16, 2026, 3:04 pm

Story
Meet Capone 🤍 Capone has spent most of his life in a shelter, patiently waiting for a family to call his own. In December of 2025, he finally found that family and quickly showed everyone just how loving, playful, and loyal he could be. Capone is full of energy and personality. His absolute favorite thing in the world is chasing after a tennis ball, and he’s always ready for an adventure. Whether it was camping trips, fishing days, or simply relaxing out on the back patio, Capone loved being included in family time. He also formed a great bond with his dog brother, Dallas the beagle, and loved having a canine companion to play with. Unfortunately, over time Capone developed aggression toward the cats in the home, making it unsafe for him to continue living with them. Because of this, we are searching for the perfect cat-free home where Capone can truly thrive. Aside from his issues with cats, he is a loving, active dog who has so much joy and companionship to offer the right family.
