Meet Adele, a beautiful 9-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a gentle spirit ready for her forever home. Adele is fully vetted, potty trained, and best of all—her adoption fee has been completely covered, thanks to a generous sponsor. All she needs now is a family to give her the love she truly deserves. This lovely girl enjoys being around people and wants nothing more than to please her humans. Like many dogs in a new environment, Adele may need a little guidance at first (she can get excited and jump), but she responds wonderfully to gentle redirection and thrives with consistency. Adele is: Kid friendly (best with older children due to her size) Best suited with calm, non-hyper dogs Affectionate and people-oriented Eager to learn  She hasn’t been tested with cats yet -- if the opportunity presents, we will give an introduction. Adele will benefit from continued consistency with her walking manners, but we truly believe she is so worth it. In fact, she’s heading out on a camping trip with her foster family soon—and we think she’s going to absolutely love the adventure! If you’re ready for a loyal, loving companion to share your days, Adele is waiting to meet you. New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Your gentle presence and protection help them feel loved and secure. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary.  The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. With a little consistency, she’s going to truly shine! Phoebe also loves a good game of fetch and would be thrilled to have a family who will play and keep her active. One of her favorite things in the world? Kids! She absolutely adores children and would make a wonderful family companion. Story
Meet Amity! This beautiful German Shepherd has been with us at FDHS for a little while now, and the longer she’s here, the more we fall in love with her. Amity is super smart, extremely affectionate, and full of personality. She really just wants to be involved in everything you’re doing, whether that’s tossing a ball in the yard or cozying up on the couch for a cuddle afterwards.Amity absolutely adores people. Big humans, tiny humans, strangers, friends, anyone willing to give her attention instantly becomes part of her fan club. She has met children as young as four and has been so gentle and loving with them. Underneath all that high-strung energy is a very sweet girl who just wants to be close to her people. She loves to play ball and would happily spend time stretching her legs in a fenced yard before heading inside to relax with her favorite humans. Amity is also very intelligent and would thrive with someone who enjoys working with smart, active dogs. While Amity loves people, she is looking for a home where she can be the ONLY animal. She has shown a strong prey drive toward smaller animals and has not been interested in making canine friends during her time at the shelter. Because of this, she’ll do getting all the love and attention as your one and only pet.Amity is ready for a fresh start with a family who will appreciate just how loyal, goofy, cuddly, and special she really is. **Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 50 lbs**

Story
This is Noah. At just 11 months old, Noah is proof that special needs dogs are every bit as full of life, love, and adventure as any other pup. This handsome white German Shepherd mix is deaf and has some vision impairments, but he doesn't let that slow him down one bit! Noah's favorite things in the world are toys, cozy naps, and spending time with his friends - human AND canine. Whether he's carrying around his favorite toy, playing with another dog, or stretched out for an afternoon snooze, he's happiest when surrounded by love. Because of his disabilities, Noah experiences the world a little differently and will need a patient family committed to helping him continue to learn. He is still working on potty training and will thrive with a consistent routine and positive reinforcement. Noah is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves making new friends and has never met a stranger. His resilience, happy spirit, and loving personality make him truly special. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will fill your home with joy, toys, and plenty of cuddles, Noah might be the perfect match for you. Special Needs - extra special heart. Noah is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm preventative.

Story
I’ve had Biscuit since late 2020, and he was 1.5 years old then. He’s been a fantastic dog. I’ve recently had several children and moved from a house with land to an apartment. He loves his exercise but will absolutely cuddle you all day if given the chance. He would do very well in a home where it’s just him and he’s on a consistent schedule.
