Story
Woof! Hey there, I'm Ace, and I've got quite the story to tell. You see, I wasn't always living the ruff life. I was caught up in a tough situation—a hoarding situation, to be exact. The woman in charge was charged with animal cruelty, and rightfully so. It was a tough time for all of us. In that chaotic environment, I didn't have much structure or love. It was a struggle just to survive each day. But despite everything, I held onto hope. And now, here I am, ready to turn over a new leaf and find my forever home. Sure, I might have some trust issues, especially when it comes to sharing my toys. Can you blame me after what I've been through? But deep down, I'm still that intelligent, confident guy who's eager to learn and eager to love. If you don't have some patience, I may not be the one for you. At 6 years old, I've seen my fair share of hardships, but I haven't lost my spirit. I'm already neutered and ready to start fresh with a family who understands my breed and is willing to give me the love and patience I need to thrive. So if you're up for the challenge of helping me heal and grow, I promise to repay you with endless loyalty and affection. Let's leave the past behind us and start a new chapter together. Are you ready to give this survivor the loving home he deserves? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143  The adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations and deworming, Frontline application, spay or neuter surgery, collar, ID tag and a leash.  A $35 (non-refundable) deposit will hold the pet for you for 5 days.  Call 803-536-3918 for more information or email at: aro.spca@outlook.com. October 26, 2024, 2:55 am

Aries is a sweet boy! He does have stranger danger, so he is nervous when first meeting people. But once you're his people he will protect his family. He would do best with no children since he does have Shepherd personality. He does like dogs but would need a meet and greet with other dogs. German Shepherd experience needed

Story
New Beginnings Shepherd Rescue is a volunteer based rescue, we work very hard to help as many adoptable GSDs as possible. Most of our dogs come from high kill shelters across the country, so sadly we do not have any background information on them.....but we work very hard to get to know each and every dog brought into our program in need of a new beginning in their lives. We do not take animals with aggression problems (some may not like other dogs, cats, or may require older kids as opposed to younger children, but we will let you know everything that we know) most of these beautiful dogs have been faithful and loving family pets for their entire lives, yet still have lost their homes and families through no fault of their own. If you are interested in opening your heart and home to one of these amazing dogs please fill out our adoption application at https://www.newbeginningsrescue.com/adoption-application and we will get back in touch after we get it processed. If you don't hear from us in 3 days, please send us a gentle reminder and one of us will get right on it. Please indicate the dog you are interested in meeting, where it says preference on the application! You may also email julie@newbeginningsrescue.com , we are always happy to answer any questions you may have. If you give them your heart, they will give you theirs.  April 9, 2025, 1:03 am

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Location: West Columbia, SC Name: Ginger Age: 5 or 6 years Breed: Coonhound, German Shepherd, Akita Mix - 68 lbs with long legs M/F: F Spayed/Neutered/Shots: Spayed; UTD on rabies & distemper Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: good with everyone she has met so far; haven’t exposed her to cats but doubt it would be an issue Aggression or medical issues?: No aggression; heartworm positive upon arrival and has been through fast-kill. Is on monthly prevention and will need to be retested in a year to verify treatment work did what it was supposed to (extremely high success rate). Reason for rehoming?: owner did not keep her contained and eventually moved away. For 4 years, she walked miles every day for food/water on her daily rotation having back to back litters. It is not simply that the neighbors did not care, she just wasn’t used to being contained and they struggling catching her and keeping her contained. I have had no issues keeping her contained in my back yard, but I do have a hot wire lining my fence and I am nowhere near the area she was wandering for all that time. House/crate trained?: she has only come inside my house a handful of times honestly, she prefers to be a yard dog as that is what she is used to. She has had no accidents when indoors though. Does need a fenced in yard. Potentially additional measures as mentioned above but I have no way of knowing until she is in the new situation/environment to see how she reacts as she never even tried escaping at my house. Additional info/story (personality): She is beyond sweet. No, she isn’t a house dog, but she is a loving dog. Out of the many animal’s I have taken to my vet, she is in their top 2 list of favs out of my group. While she is a yard dog, she walks decently well on a leash (I’m ~125 lbs and the only thing that is difficult is getting her in my car as in she isn’t one to drag me all over). She has been around tons of dogs and people with me with absolutely no issues. Vet had her in perfect health besides the heartworm treatment that we have completed. She is definitely past her puppy days and prefers to lay around instead of playing with the other dogs, but this could also be due to the recent heartworm treatments. I definitely wouldn’t consider her as a guard dog as she is such a people pleaser (she rarely barks - assuming it was learned behavior as she was surviving “on her own” for so long). Please help give her the furever home she has always deserved! Message/comment if interested. Make sure if you message me to include the animal’s name since I have a lot of rescues I am trying to help rehome at the moment. Adoption application & contract required to ensure good home . Story
Meet Iridessa! This sweet senior shepherd came to us from another shelter, and shes estimated to be around 10 years old. Iridessa is ready to find a cozy couch to call her own and spend her days lounging in comfort. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company, but her true love is people. Iridessa is all about comfort and would be happiest in a home where she can relax and enjoy the good life. She loves to be pampered, bathed, and just all around loved on. Iridessa has spent time in a foster home, mastering potty training, leash skills, and household manners. If youre looking for a laid-back companion who just wants to enjoy her golden years, Iridessa might be the perfect fit for you! We promised Iridessa that the rest of her life, would be the best of her life. Could that be with you? ***APPLY TO ADOPT: finalvictoryrescue.com*** We provide meet-and-greets by appointment with an application on file.
