Hi! My name is Cadence. I am a 4-year-old German/Anatolian Shepherd mix with big brown eyes and a heart of gold.I’m house and crate trained. I know sit and shake. I adapt to just about any environment with a little bit of time. Loud noises do not bother me.I love car rides and get so excited when we get to where we’re going, I try to climb into the front seat. I love tennis balls, squeakers, tug ropes, really any toy if you will play with me. I love to be brushed. I love my chin and chest scratched. I love treats. I love praise. You’ve probably figured out by now that I’m a lovebug. My foster mom says I pick things up really fast, but I don’t always mind my manners. I really enjoy walks but haven’t figured out why I need to be tethered to a human. I pull in every direction at first because there’s so much to see and smell, and by the way, I am strong. The foster humans are being patient and working with me but it’s going to take time to break my old habits.There’s a 5’ fence at my foster home and that keeps me safe, but I might be able to jump a shorter fence. Baby gates in the house are no match for me. I’m right at home in a dog park. My previous human couldn’t provide the care I needed so my ears got infected and are a little sensitive and scarred. The veterinarian said we’ll have to keep a close watch for infections forever. I’m close to 70 pounds. I’m up to date on all my vaccinations. I get along with everyone I meet, but I was a little bossy with my foster sister when we first met. I barely notice the cat. I like to rough house when playing and sometimes forget that I’m a little clumsy and bigger than everyone else. I’m working on the basics of leash training and not jumping up when I’m excited with my foster family and am showing progress but still need some work. My breed is known to be independent, intelligent, loving and loyal and I am all of that.Apply online or email russellrescuetn@gmail.com if already approved 4 yr old spayed German shepherd. 62#, adopted from animal control, vet told owner that she needed to treat her ears, owner said she would have to come back on payday… never saw her again. Cadence was later taken back to AC for euthanasia. Tech at AC couldn’t do it because cadence is so sweet… so they sent her to our clinic and dr evaluated her ears. She has suffered chronic untreated ear infections for who knows how long.. ear canals are cauliflowers and cadence will have to have ear exams abt every 6-8 weeks. We packed them w a two week treatment last week. Her ears are very sensitive, and she had to be sedated to treat them. Meet Bastion! Age: 10 Weight: 86lbs This handsome old man knows sit and is a cuddly giant. He hasn't shown much interest in toys, but he would love to lay on the couch and watch movies with you. He walks fairly well on leash but he can pull at times. He has done pretty well with the calmer dogs in his time here, however he does not like to share things with other dogs, so feeding time and play time would need to be separate. He was checked for a chip and posted all over social media but nobody came forward to claim him so now he is up for adoption. My name is Bella Mia and as you can see, I am a beautiful golden girl that smiles and welcomes everyone I meet with an open heart of friendship. I am a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix that is obviously going to be large and just bigger to love. They say I was born around February 11, 2023 and for sure I am still very much a puppy even though I weigh 76 pounds. They whisper behind my back and say that “she is a very smart girl” and that makes me want to be even smarter. I try to keep my sweet personality showing out there 24/7 even though I am competing for attention from my other large and in charge siblings. I am learning things but my foster family is busy and they are just maintaining good care for me and my large siblings. I have energy to burn and I need a fenced yard to run in and someone that will focus on teaching me. I need a loving and training oriented family who loves to bring a dog from A to Z status. I survived a very tough start in life and am one of 12 siblings. Only six of us survived. I like fun, lots of activity and the hustle and bustle of family. I need a fenced yard that is 6 ft. tall and it would be best to have me with children who are over 8 years of age because of my large exuberant size. Active Axel is a handsome golden male German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees mix who was born on February 11th, 2023 and is still a puppy in every way. He is one of six siblings that survived from a litter of 12. Our guy Axel weighs approximately 90 lbs, and is very GSD smart loving to be next to his humans. This huge puppy is full of energy and he will fit perfectly in a home where there is a lot of activity, a fenced yard and people who love the BIG DOGS! He really likes walking, hiking, and just a ton of fun with activity. He also loves water and treats the water trough as his own personal spa. We recommend a home with a fence that is a minimum of 5 feet tall. We do not suggest he go to a home with small children, or farm animals simply because he has no experience with them. He hangs with his siblings and does well playing with them and also just enjoying their company. He does need to eat separately for dinner as he protects his food from the other dogs due to early starvation. Handsome Axel is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped and he is kennel and crate trained for quiet time. This boy needs some time and attention from a caring and dog savvy owner. Our handsome white German Shepherd boy is called Mozilla. Found as a stray in East Tennessee and taken to a local humane society shelter, this 2-year-old boy was quickly adopted by a family that had high hopes for bringing him up with their family. Sadly within a few months the elderly lady died and her husband just could not stand to raise Mozilla by himself. Back to the shelter he came thinner and yet still a happy boy. He is 72 lb and needs to put back on weight. We think he should be an 85 lb healthy hearty beautiful white angel. He lived with a cat and did well and he plays with all the dogs at the shelter in the play yard. He wears a smile and wags his tail every opportunity he gets as he shares his friendship with the people he meets. We are looking for the right home and a forever commitment.
