Story
Hi! My name is Cadence. I am a 4-year-old German/Anatolian Shepherd mix with big brown eyes and a heart of gold.I’m house and crate trained. I know sit and shake.  I adapt to just about any environment with a little bit of time.  Loud noises do not bother me.I love car rides and get so excited when we get to where we’re going, I try to climb into the front seat. I love tennis balls, squeakers, tug ropes, really any toy if you will play with me.  I love to be brushed. I love my chin and chest scratched. I love treats. I love praise.  You’ve probably figured out by now that I’m a lovebug.  My foster mom says I pick things up really fast, but I don’t always mind my manners.  I really enjoy walks but haven’t figured out why I need to be tethered to a human.  I pull in every direction at first because there’s so much to see and smell, and by the way, I am strong.  The foster humans are being patient and working with me but it’s going to take time to break my old habits. There’s a 5’ fence at my foster home and that keeps me safe, but I might be able to jump a shorter fence. Baby gates in the house are no match for me.  I’m right at home in a dog park.  My previous human couldn’t provide the care I needed so my ears got infected and are a little sensitive and scarred.   The veterinarian said we’ll have to keep a close watch for infections forever.  I’m close to 70 pounds.  I’m up to date on all my vaccinations.  I get along with everyone I meet, but I was a little bossy with my foster sister when we first met.  I barely notice the cat.  I like to rough house when playing and sometimes forget that I’m a little clumsy and bigger than everyone else.  I’m working on the basics of leash training and not jumping up when I’m excited with my foster family and am showing progress but still need some work.  My breed is known to be independent, intelligent, loving and loyal and I am all of that.Apply online or email russellrescuetn@gmail.com if already approved 4 yr old spayed German shepherd. 62#, adopted from animal control, vet told owner that she needed to treat her ears, owner said she would have to come back on payday… never saw her again. Cadence was later taken back to AC for euthanasia. Tech at AC couldn’t do it because cadence is so sweet… so they sent her to our clinic and dr evaluated her ears. She has suffered chronic untreated ear infections for who knows how long.. ear canals are cauliflowers and cadence will have to have ear exams abt every 6-8 weeks. We packed them w a two week treatment last week. Her ears are very sensitive, and she had to be sedated to treat them. She is a precious girl and doing well with her foster just after one day!Available dogs are met by pre-approved adopters ONLY after a match is made. The application is the first step. Story
We have had Bella sine she was a puppy. She's a great dog, very loveable, loves to play, fetch etc. She doesn't get a long well with other female dogs. She is about 7 years old. We are looking for someone who has the time she deserves and loves dogs. We will not give her to just anyone, we don't want her to just be set outside or mistreated. She is apart of our family but with 2 children under 2 and another female dog we just cannot risk the 2 dogs fighting around our children or we would not be exploring this option. They new home would need a yard so she can run around, she has too much energy for an apartment, she loves to be inside and sleep inside at night close to everyone.

Story
Hi everyone! This is Nova. She is 2 years old, spayed and microchipped. She is also crate, obedience, house and E-collar trained. She is a very special girl with a big personality! She loves to play with her ball and will do so for hours on end! She also loves soft and squeaky toys but will destroy them in T-2 seconds with no regrets! She may take a little time to trust you and feel comfortable with you but once she does...her love is endless! She is a big cuddler for those of you who love to cuddle your fur babies. She will do best in a home where she is the only fur baby as she loves to have all your attention. She is looking for a home where she can be loved and treated like the queen she is. She needs an active companion. She will protect you and your home so you will always feel safe with her nearby. If you love German Shepherd dogs, she is as gorgeous as they come (she posed for the first picture, as you can tell). Her heart is big just like her paws.

Story
My name is Bella Mia and as you can see, I am a beautiful golden girl that smiles and welcomes everyone I meet with an open heart of friendship.  I am a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix that is obviously going to be large and just bigger to love.  They say I was born around February 11, 2023 and for sure I am still very much a puppy even though I weigh 76 pounds.  They whisper behind my back and say that “she is a very smart girl” and that makes me want to be even smarter.  I try to keep my sweet personality showing out there 24/7 even though I am competing for attention from my other large and in charge siblings.  I am learning things but my foster family is busy and they are just maintaining good care for me and my large siblings.  I have energy to burn and I need a fenced yard to run in and someone that will focus on teaching me.  I need a loving and training oriented family who loves to bring a dog from A to Z status.  I survived a very tough start in life and am one of 12 siblings.  Only six of us survived.  I like fun, lots of activity and the hustle and bustle of family.  I need a fenced yard that is 6 ft. tall and it would be best to have me with children who are over 8 years of age because of my large exuberant size.  I am a well-rounded girl that will make your home much more Fun and loving.  If you are interested in making me a part of your life, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 3, 2024, 9:46 pm

Story
Easy Ryder is like his name, an 'easy'  two year old German Shepherd boy that would love to join Peter Fonda on a motorcycle ride.  This boy loves to go, go, go and he's a ton of fun and a super  playful boy.  He is good with children, other dogs, but no cats unfortunately.  He’s a great car “rider”, loves his walks, and he loves hiking into the mountains.  He’s 70 pounds of all muscle, great health and good hips.  No issues whatsoever with health or dog habits and is UTD on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, HW prevention. He’s one healthy lover of a dog. Please contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  He's in Tennessee but can transport north.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 3, 2024, 9:46 pm

Story
Active Axel is a handsome golden male German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees mix who was born on February 11th, 2023 and is still a puppy in every way. He is one of six siblings that survived from a litter of 12. Our guy Axel weighs approximately 90 lbs, and is very GSD smart loving to be next to his humans.  This huge puppy is full of energy and he will fit perfectly in a home where there is a lot of activity, a fenced yard and people who love the BIG DOGS! He really likes walking, hiking, and just a ton of fun with activity. He also loves water and treats the water trough as his own personal spa. We recommend a home with a fence that is a minimum of 5 feet tall.   We do not suggest he go to a home with small children, or farm animals simply because he has no experience with them.  He hangs with his siblings and does well playing with them and also just enjoying their company.  He does need to eat separately for dinner as he protects his food from the other dogs due to early starvation. Handsome Axel is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped and he is kennel and crate trained for quiet time.  This boy needs some time and attention from a caring and dog savvy owner.  He would love to cuddle with you and be your adored companion.  He has such potential…..such love and such a need to grow and evolve into a fine companion in life.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in this big baby!  ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Look at this gorgeous German Shepherd mix boy named Trent and don’t take your eyes off of him because he is a WINNER!  This boy is only 7 months old and weighs 37 pounds and was found with his brother and sister as abandoned pups in a very rural area right on a highway.  They were in great danger.  Trent is around children, other dogs and would be fine with cats as well.  This boy is shy and has not had many worldly experiences up till now.  If you have looked for a special German Shepherd to rescue then this boy is the one to help!  He will be a 75 pound boy when fully grown and we feel he is 80% Shepherd if not 100%.  We just don’t know for sure. This boy is not housebroken…never been inside to have the chance…he is loving…he is handsome and calm and has all the potential in the world to be a wonderful family companion. Do you want to rescue a dog?   Well Trent most certainly needs someone to finish the task that Critter Cavalry Rescue started.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 3, 2024, 9:46 pm
