Story
When you hear German Shepherd, you often think of a fearless guard dog. Remi is like the Scooby-Doo of the GSD group - she will run away from all the scary things! Remi does live up to the GSD reputation by being extremely loyal and loving to her chosen person. It takes a minute to gain her trust, but, once done, she is devoted. She knows how to sit on command and is a smart girl. Remi is nervous around other dogs but seems like she would be social given a little time. Remi is a sweet girl who needs a patient owner to give her just a little time to adjust and blossom into the affectionate girl she truly is.

Story
Meet Sydney, a serene and affectionate Belgian Malinois Shepherd mix with a heart as gentle as her gaze. Sydney is the definition of calm—nothing seems to faze her. She’s incredibly dog and cat friendly, and her low to medium energy level makes her a wonderful match for a peaceful home. Sydney is being fostered in a loving home in San Antonio, TX, where she gets along beautifully with her German Shepherd foster sister. Sydney walks beautifully on a leash and makes an excellent walking buddy for those who enjoy quiet neighborhood strolls. However, her true happy place is outside—she absolutely thrives in a yard where she can explore, relax, and enjoy nature. A home with outdoor space is a must for this sweet girl. Potty trained and polite, Sydney is well-mannered around the house. She's a little shy when meeting new people or visiting unfamiliar places, so she’ll need a patient and loving family willing to give her time to settle in. Once she trusts you, she’ll show you her soft, affectionate side and soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give. Sydney is also a cozy cuddle buddy—she loves curling up next to you on the couch for some quiet bonding time. While she’s not a fan of car rides, Sydney is happy living the homebody life. She’s currently looking for a foster or adopter in Central Texas who can offer her the calm, consistent environment she deserves. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion, Sydney is ready to make your heart her home. To see more pictures and videos of Sydney copy and paste this link, you can apply directly for Sydney by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-550 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Story
We adopted Zeke in 2019, when he was around 9 months old. We were told in his first home he was abused as a puppy. When we got him, he has been surrendered to Humane Society and was living in foster home with cats and kids. He has lived with us since. We have 2 children and 1 other dog that Zeke lives with. Zeke is very good with our kids. He lets our oldest (3 years old) pet him and he doesn't bother our newborn. Zeke is part German Shepard and is good on walks and runs. Zeke takes monthly heartworm/flea prevention medicine and has not had any major medical issues since we adopted him. He is crate trained and knows how to sit and lay down. He learns very quickly. With the arrival of our newborn baby we have not had the time to give him the exercise and attention he needs. We are looking for someone who has the time to take him on walks every day and has a yard for him to play in.
