Story
COMET IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    GSD lovers, check out Comet! He's a beautiful, young German Shepherd most likely under a year old. He is inquisitive, playful, incredibly smart, and food driven. He's done very well in training. He is crate trained, leash trained, and potty trained. He is good with kids and other dogs with a proper introduction. Comet needs a family that will pick up where the foster family leaves him in terms of training and *continues* that with him. Comet would not be good for a first-time dog owner; he needs a home that can fulfill him with walks, training, and enrichment toys! He's an incredibly loving dog and would do best with another dog friend in the home to run and play with. He is such a fun dog to play with, train, and scratch behind his massive ears.   He is fully vetted including neuter, microchip, and all shots including rabies shot. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Comet up north after he is adopted.  To apply to adopt Comet, go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net .    Any Questions, email us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .  THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 27, 2023, 8:02 am

Story
SAMMIE IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    "Hey there, I'm Sammie! I am a social butterfly who loves every dog I meet and really hope my future home has other pups to play with! In my foster home, my favorite times are snuggle time, playtime, and dinner time! I'm a pro at cleaning my plate. I am a bit curious about the resident kitty in my foster home, but I promise I've never been anything but polite! I'm well versed in 'sit' and adore a game of fetch. Give me a backyard, and I'll run myself into nap time. While I've got a sweet side, I've also been known to channel my inner American Ninja Warrior and take a hop over short fences. I need to be watched!   I've made many furry and human friends in my foster home, and they all seem to think I'm great! I'm working on mastering the leash and to not bark, but I am getting into the crate when asked! If you have a couch and endless love to give, I'm ready to be yours!"   He is estimated to be between 2-3 years old and 65 lbs. He is fully vetted including neuter, microchip, and all shots including rabies shot. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Sammie up north after he is adopted.  To apply to adopt Sammie, go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net .    Any Questions, email us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .  THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 27, 2023, 8:02 am

Story
Meet Millie, she’s such a gorgeous girl! She is very smart and highly trainable. She loves attention and loves to be with her people. She has lots of energy and needs a family that also has the time and energy to fulfill her needs for exercise and mental stimulation so she can be a happy and balanced pup. She is about a year old and was to be euthanized by previous owners bc they just didn’t want her or her sister anymore we were contacted to see about taking her (her sister ended up at the shelter prior and has been adopted Yeayy). We had just had a few adoptions and we decided to give her a chance. She’s is wonderful. She likes to counter surf and has been learning we don’t do that and it’s not acceptable. She is also learning where to go potty and not do it inside. She was kept outside in a 10x 10 kennel and was pretty thin and covered with fly bites on her ears and fleas as well. She’s recovering from that very well and loves the extra groceries she’s getting. She can and will Jump a four foot fence if you should happen to leave the yard area. She’s not trying to run away she is trying to get to you. She doesn’t really have separation anxiety but she does not like to be left alone in the yard. She does great in her crate/kennel at night and will hold it to potty in the morning. She loves other dogs and is pretty pushy in an obnoxious way with other dogs. She seems to not have learned to take no for an answer but she is learning that now. Our pack is teaching her how to play and engage properly as a dog. She is a middle of the pack/ front of the pack type of dog. She’s not too confident that she is dominant and she is not shy and timid or fearful. She can be a tad shy at first with people but she’s pretty confident with other dogs. meet but warms up within minutes. Located East TN, out of state welcomed transport available to your area I closed on the adoption fee listed here in Adopt a pet. We use rescue riders for our pet transports because they have been great with our babies. Apply at petpath.org

Story
Brandi and her sister have been with us for quite a few months, their siblings have been adopted and doing great in their homes. She would love a home to call her own! She is currently in a home with other dogs and a cat and does wonderfully with everyone. Brandi can be shy at first, but is cuddly and loving once she gets to know you. She is very agile and would probably do great with some agility training! She is house trained and does great in a crate! She is looking for an active home who enjoys outdoor activities. She would love a fenced in yard because she loves to play outside. Right now, she is being fostered in Tennessee. The rescue lists in areas where transport is available. They use safe USDA licensed dog transports that will bring her to their new family, once they are adopted! Once you send an application, the rescue will contact you for an interview and be able to send more photos and even videos She is spayed and UTD on all required vaccinations. She is microchipped and on flea preventative. Please, you MUST click the following link BEFORE emailing for further information. Story
GSD/Husky/Lab/Catahoula mixFour year old Dexter W. is a mixture of Labrador, GSD, Husky and Catahoula. His former owner’s parents have recently taken him in and he is just too much dog for them. They describe him as “a fun, smart and energetic companion. He loves to be near us and is a loyal best friend who loves to play.”  They believe he would be best with a family with older children or a family of young adults because of his energy level.  He has never been around cats.
