ABBY IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE ADOPTED!    Meet Abby, a beautiful 3-year-old female German Shepherd with a heart as big as her playful personality. Full of energy and enthusiasm, Abby loves being around people and would do best with older children who can appreciate her fun-loving spirit and gentle giant charm. Abby gets along best with calm, easygoing male dogs who match her balanced energy. She dreams of a home with a large fenced yard where she can run, play, and stretch her legs to her heart’s content. This smart girl is already housebroken and crate-trained, making her an easy addition to the right family. She also knows basic commands like “sit” and is eager to keep learning. Abby is ready to bring loyalty, love, and endless joy to a family who will give her the active, caring home she deserves. She is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all dog vaccinations. Her adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Abby up north to her new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Abby here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net      THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 26, 2026, 8:16 am

Story
SAMMIE IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    "Hey there, I'm Sammie! I am a social butterfly who loves every dog I meet and really hope my future home has other pups to play with! In my foster home, my favorite times are snuggle time, playtime, and dinner time! I'm a pro at cleaning my plate. I am a bit curious about the resident kitty in my foster home, but I promise I've never been anything but polite! I'm well versed in 'sit' and adore a game of fetch. Give me a backyard, and I'll run myself into nap time. I've made many furry and human friends in my foster home, and they all seem to think I'm great! I'm working on mastering the leash and to not bark, but I am getting into the crate when asked! If you have a couch and endless love to give, I'm ready to be yours!" He is 4-5 years old and 65 lbs. He is fully vetted including neuter, microchip, and all shots including rabies shot. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Sammie up north after he is adopted.     To apply to adopt Sammie, go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net .    Any questions, email us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .     THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 26, 2026, 8:16 am

Story
Lola is a beautiful 2-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her playful spirit. This sweet girl has quite the story—she spent over a month as a stray in her neighborhood, where she quickly won over everyone, especially the local kids. She would happily walk them to and from the bus stop, soaking up all the love, playtime, and snacks they had to offer. It’s clear from the start: Lola adores people, especially children. Lola is the perfect mix of fun and well-mannered. She loves toys (especially balls!) and will happily play fetch and retrieve to her heart’s content. She also enjoys playing with other dogs and would do great in a home with a canine companion. She’s both house-trained and kennel-trained, and can relax comfortably in a crate for extended periods without issue. Lola travels well in the car (especially in her crate) and is always up for an adventure—she truly loves going for rides. Lola is smart and eager to please, showing all the classic German Shepherd traits. She knows her name, responds well to training, and even does well off-leash in appropriate settings like trails. She’s not destructive and doesn’t chew on household items—she’d much rather enjoy a Milk-Bone or a good game of fetch. While Lola is generally well-behaved in the home, she can be a bit vocal when excited, especially when greeting people or when someone comes to the door. This is typical of her breed and manageable with continued guidance and training. Once she settles, she’s affectionate, attentive, and loves being close to her people. She has shown that she can coexist with cats and is overall a very adaptable, social dog. Lola has even waded into a pond before—so she might enjoy some water fun—but baths are definitely not her favorite activity! Lola is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and on prevention, ready to find her forever home. Ideal Home:
Lola would thrive in an active home where she can get plenty of playtime, exercise, and attention. A family with kids, another playful dog, or someone who enjoys outdoor adventures would be a great match for her. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and playful companion who will stick by your side and keep you smiling, Lola just might be your girl. If this sounds like the pup for you, please complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality. Transports leave every week alternating between the NE and the Great Lakes. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. HEIDI IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE ADOPTED!    Heidi is a beautiful sable German Shepherd, estimated to be 2–3 years old and weighing around 75 pounds. Strong, intelligent, and full of energy, she would make an amazing jogging or activity partner for someone with an active lifestyle.  She is fully potty-trained and enjoys learning, especially when treats are involved! Heidi loves her chew toys and thrives in a stable environment where she can get regular exercise and attention. Because of her size and strength, Heidi would do best in a home without young children, cats, or small dogs. She prefers to be the only pet, though a calm, well-matched canine companion could be considered with proper introductions and gentle play. She can tolerate short periods in a crate but is happiest when she has space to move and be part of the family. Heidi is friendly with people and ready to bond with someone who can provide the structure, love, and activity she needs. Think you might be the perfect match? Apply to adopt this gorgeous girl today! She is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all dog vaccinations. Her adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to VA.
