Story
Scooby is a goofy, loving boy who deserves an amazing home. He can be anxious with big noises, new situations. He genuinely wants to be loved and to play, unfortunately as a single full time working mom I cannot offer him the support he needs and deserves. Someone who has the right environment and ability would find a loyal pal who will keep your feet warm and house safe at night and join you on all the hikes. We are moving soon and need to find Scooby a home where he can be happy soon, reach out if interested in giving Scooby a home.

Story
I really need a family with another dog (or can be only dog), a securely fenced yard and someone that works from home. You can contact us directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com, or fill out an application at either https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other I need an active German Shepherd family home. Patty is a 8 mos old 45 lb active German Shepherd mix (probably some Belgian Malnois) I will do best with an active alpha German Shepherd experienced owner with a secure 6 ft fenced yard. I am a semi energetic happy gal that LOVES my people unconditionally. I do like other dogs and cats. I like daily walks, car rides, toys, dog beds and hanging out with my humans. I am house trained and crate trained. (but much prefer being free and hanging out with my humans ....do you work from home?) I will require daily walks and some dog training. No children under 6 yrs of age. I am NOT an apartment or condo dog. I am a family pet! This is a courtesy post for Helotes Humane Society You can contact us directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com, or fill out and application at either https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other All adopted pups and dogs are transported to WA/OR families when fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. For information on how to adopt me, please contact my foster parents at info@dogdiggityrescue.com. L&S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. Story
Sasha is being fostered in PA. Sasha needs to be an only dog. She does not like active dogs Sasha can ONLY be adopted to a home with older children or all adults. Sasha is NOT good with cats. Sasha is spayed. Christmas time is here, soon a new year will dawn, and I’m still patiently waiting for my furever home and that special family to give me lots of love and belly rubs. I enjoy walks and will do OK without a fenced yard if you take me out on walking adventures. If you have a fenced yard I will run and play with you. I just enjoy the company of peeps. I don’t care to be with other dogs, just be by myself with my humans. I am a good girl in the house…unless you leave tasty morsels of food on the counter. Then I may just have to help myself! I know Sit, Down, am learning Wait, but I don’t really want to wait, hee hee. I also do pretty well on a leash. I’m still working on some other things like no jumping up on my peeps. I just want to greet and say Hi and give kisses and hugs to my peeps. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Lucky BuckMale87lbsTri pod dogShepherd mixThere's no better name for this big boy, say hello to Lucky Buck! This boy is 87 pounds of sweetness. He's still learning how to walk on three legs, but he is progressing very nicely. He just walked up about 15 steps, back down, and then back up! He does struggle on non-carpeted areas, so a home with more carpet is probably ideal for him. After he gets used to them, he's pretty good with other dogs. We have not seen any aggression towards food, water, toys, or bones. However, he does seem protective over space, but only growls and will stop with a firm no. He doesn't seem to be a fan of thunder.apply at wbdr.org

Story
Marcus is such a sweet, loving, gentle boy. He is only a year or two old. He was found as a stray and was unclaimed at the shelter where we rescued him just before he was going to be euthanized. Someone must have loved him because he trusts people and already knows “sit” and “stay”—and “shake hands”! He came to us from a shelter in Texas, and—not too surprisingly (coming from the deep south)—he has tested positive for heartworms. He seems to be healthy, though, and our vet thinks that he must just have just recently been infected, so she is quite certain no harm has been done. We are starting his treatment and will continue with (and will pay for) his treatment during the summer months, but are hoping to find a foster/adopter in our area (near Madison, Wi.) who would like to take him in during this time with an eye to adopting him once his heartworm treatment is complete. Marcus has been neutered, microchipped, tested (negative) for intestinal parasites, and he is updated on his distemper and rabies shots. So….he just needs a few months more to treat him for his heartworms. In the meantime, we are hoping to find a foster/adopter in the Madison, Wi area who could provide him with the love and attention he needs and deserves, we would be willing to waive his adoption fee. Marcus walks well on a leash and is good with other dogs. He would enjoy a safely fenced yard (no "invisible" fencing) and an adopter who is home much of the time. If you feel you would be a good match for Marcus (and vice versa) please e-mail his foster “mom” at: sylvialovesme@gmail.com and tell her about yourself—your daily schedule, your other family members and pets, if you have a safely fenced yard, etc. Then, if she feels you and Marcus would be a good match for each other, she will e-mail you an adoption application and once you have filled it out and returned it, a meet-and-greet can be scheduled.

Adult (estimated between 2 and 7 years, exact age unknown) Neutered male Active, affectionate, and sensitive Looking for a home with children over 12 years Has done well with other dogs No known experience with cats Housetrained I'm a smart and loyal boy who can't wait to become your new best friend. I already know sit, paw, and down, I walk well on a leash, and I'm house trained. I'm a total cuddle bug who loves to lay at your feet and soak up all the affection you can give—I'll even give you kisses in return! I'm active and love to play fetch, and I've gotten along well with the other dogs I've met. Because I'm a sensitive guy, I'm looking for a home with older children. If you're looking for a loving and devoted companion, I'm your perfect match! Thanks to a generous sponsor I have a reduced adoption fee! The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.July 25, 2024, 6:10 pm

Story
Mahina's a big, goofy baby that will brighten your life in every way possible as soon as she knows you're safe for her. She was given a rough start to her life unfortunately & has trust issues due to that. She calms down fairly quickly with the help of some treats but doesn't do well with being overwhelmed by too many people all at once (yet but I'm sure with time & training she'll get there). She's protective of her home & people but can be redirected easily. She's not ok with dogs but lives with a cat just fine. She lives with 2 kids, ages 11 & 8, & they haven't had any issues. They do know not to hang on her & to give her the space she needs as she needs it. She uses her crate to get away when needed & for comfort, so that will be coming with her & be needed in an area for her to use as she wants. She loves soft blankets & stuffies (she doesn't destroy even the cheap ones). Only reason for finding her a new home is because of her fears & her needing a calmer life style.
