Story
Ronald is a big, handsome boy with an even bigger heart. He settles quickly in his crate, walks beautifully on leash, and already knows his basic commands. He has great house manners and truly wants to please his people. Ronald loves spending time with people, whether that’s playing with toys, going for a walk, or relaxing right by your side. He enjoys children, though because of his size he’ll need a little guidance in new situations until he understands the expectations. With proper introductions, he does wonderfully with other dogs, and he seems to be uninterested in cats. This smart, loving pup is working on his greeting manners so he doesn’t get too excited at first hellos. He shares toys willingly and has no guarding issues, always happy to give them up if asked. Ronald is attentive, eager to learn, and has the potential to grow into the perfect companion with the right guidance. In the hands of the right family, Ronald could even excel as a service dog. He’s the kind of dog who will make his people proud every single day, a loyal, affectionate, all-around great dog ready to find his forever home.

Story
Meet the sweetest girl, Holly! Holly is available as a foster-to-adopt until she is spayed. Although she`s quiet, Holly is a high-energy girl who thrives on activity and fun. Walks are one of her favorite things, and she’s always excited about playtime with toys or tackling enrichment puzzles that keep her busy and thinking. Holly adores other dogs and would love a canine friend to romp around with. This smart, playful pup would do best in an active home that enjoys walks, games, and mental enrichment. She’s also very people-friendly and affectionate, though she can be a little shy at first especially when there’s a big crowd. Once she has a moment to warm up, her sweet and loving personality really shines through. We’re still learning how Holly feels about cats in the home. Because she can be shy when meeting new people, she would likely do best with children who can give her time and space to warm up. She`s learning some basic commands and would benefit from positive reinforcement training, which will help her build confidence and continue learning in a fun, rewarding way. With her playful spirit, loving heart, and eagerness to learn, Holly would make a wonderful addition to a family ready to give her the time, activity, and love she deserves. Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. Meet sweet Zephyr! Zephyr is currently available as a foster-to-adopt until his neuter appointment.Zephyr is a sweet puppy who`s looking for a family of his very own. He`s met other dogs, cats, and lots of people and has been doing very well. He`s currently in a foster home where he`s working on his potty-training and basic manners. His foster has found out he does well in a kennel and has no complaints about taking a nap in there! Zephyr loves toys, especially stuffies, and playing with both people and other dogs. Zephyr is a curious little guy who wants to explore and have lots of new experiences with his future family. Story
Female, spayed, housebroken, shots up-to-date, 7-year old German Shepherd seeks home with people who don’t travel for work. Cici is an amazing dog, but since taking a new job, her owner is looking for the right family who won’t have to board her every other week (sometimes for 10+ days in a row). Cici is affectionate, playful, energetic, gets along great with other dogs and cats, is good on a leash, and will get constant compliments when walked. No illnesses or medication required, other than the standard heartworm and flea/tick meds. Cici weighs approximately 75 lbs, and eats 2 cups of kibble, twice per day. Due to her size/playfulness, she’s probably not a good fit for families with infants/toddlers or young elementary, but does great with preteens and older, and would do best in a home with a fenced yard where she can run around freely. She is an excellent “alerter/protector” of your property, both inside and outside. Reach out for a meet-and-greet. She is a wonderful dog!
