Story
Hi, I'm Zayn! It has been a tough adjustment to shelter life after I was surrendered through no fault of my own. Everything was new and scary, and I wasn't sure who I could trust. But over time, I've started to come out of my shell. Thanks to the patient people here, I'm gaining confidence every day! I'm still cautious with new people (typical shepherd move!), but once I know you're safe, I'll be your loyal shadow - affectionate, playful, and full of love to give. I have an especially difficult time warming up to strange men. I think with time, patience, and understanding, I will be able to show my true self once comfortable! Like most German Shepherds, I'm protective of my space, incredibly smart, and always aware of what's going on around me. I'd really thrive with someone who has shepherd experience - someone who understands my breed and can help me feel secure and confident in my new home. I have had a hard time introducing myself to other dogs since being in the shelter, so right now I think I'd do best as your one and only pet where we can focus on helping me be the best dog I can be! I'd also do best in a home with older, teenaged children as well. I've been through a lot, but I haven't given up on finding my person. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will adore you once he knows you, I just might be your guy! Come meet me! I promise I've got a whole lot of love waiting for you if you just give me a chance! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 103.2 Age: 3yrs 1mths 0wks

All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. December 9, 2025, 6:15 pm

On 12/6, she made it safely out of Arkansas and traveled to Wisconsin, where she is now settling beautifully into her foster home. From Her Foster: Sweet Pea is settling in very nicely! She loves to play with the resident dogs and absolutely loves the snow. Sweets slept overnight in her crate and is definitely living up to her name. She is loving to everyone she meets and is one smart puppy. Her foster mom says she will make a wonderful addition to any family looking for a furry family member. This little girl is all heart and still learning the ropes, as all puppies are, but her warm, affectionate personality makes her a wonderful fit for many types of homes. Sweet Pea is great with people, kids, and other dogs, and because she is still so young, she will likely do well with cats too. Age: 5 months Gender: Female Weight: 15 lbs Breed: Mixed breed (brindle) Personality & Training: Sweet, friendly, eager to love Puppy in training Potty, crate, and leash training in progress Good With: Dogs Cats (likely, due to age) Kids Spayed/Neutered: Not yet Sweet Pea deserves a loving home where she can grow, play, learn, and be your best girl.
