Story
Myah`s history is a bit of a mystery. She came in as a stray with a microchip, but we found her former owner had passed away. Before that happened, he re-homed her with friends, but we can`t find them. She spent some time in an adoptive home, but is again available for adoption because she was not a good fit for a busy neighborhood. She is very sweet and house trained. We had ACL surgery done on both of her back legs. She is on an inexpensive medication due to some urinary incontinence and will come with a good supply of it..Because we think she is part husky, a nice, fenced yard is preferable. Myah does have a very strong prey drive, and therefore, must go to a home with no other small dogs or cats/small mammals. She is very friendly with people!

Story
Gemma: The Gentle Giant Looking for Her Quiet Place!Gemma is a stunning 3-year-old, 85lb German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as she is! While she may look like a powerhouse, she is actually a sensitive soul who is looking for a peaceful sanctuary to call her own.Her Story-Gemma recently came to us after finding apartment life a bit too overwhelming. The `hustle and bustle` of city living and thin walls kept her on high alert, so she is dreaming of a home where she can swap the hallway noises for a quiet backyard and a cozy couch.Personality & Training-A Perfect Gem: Gemma is a timid girl who starts out shy, but once she trusts you, she truly sparkles! She is a `perfect gem` of a homebody who warms up quickly with a few treats and a little patience.A Smart Cookie: She is currently in a foster home where she`s showing off her skills! She is crate trained, very intelligent, and eager to learn, making her a dream for anyone who enjoys positive-reinforcement training.Energy Level: She loves a good romp in the yard but is just as happy to spend the rest of the day curled up next to you on the sofa.Compatibility-Children: Because Gemma is a bit shy and quite large, she’d prefer a calm home with older, respectful children who can give her space when she needs it.Dogs: She enjoys making new canine friends, though she can be a little `socially awkward` at first! We recommend a dog-to-dog meet-and-greet at the shelter to make sure she and your resident pup are a perfect match.Cats/Small Critters: Gemma does get very excited by squirrels and rabbits! We aren`t sure how she feels about cats yet, so we recommend slow and careful introductions.Health Status-Gemma is ready to move right in! She is:SpayedUp-to-date on all core vaccinationsCurrent on flea, tick, and heartworm preventionMicrochippedReady to meet this gorgeous girl? If you have a quiet home and a big spot on your couch for Gemma, please reach out to us at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org to book an appointment!
