Story
• I am fostering him in San Clemente for Riverside County, but I cannot keep him because my little senior (very jealous) dog will not accept him. If I didn't have my little senior, I would adopt Max in a second - he is a wonderful dog!• Max was found as a stray in Riverside: no collar, no microchip, not neutered. The Shelter named him Max. Will be neutered on May 21st. Has had his vaccinations and is microchipped now. Estimated to be about 3 yrs old.• Very sweet disposition, affectionate, super soft coat, friendly & good w/kids, non-reactive with other dogs.• Housetrained.• Pretty good on leash (pulls a bit at first); great on car rides.• Crate trained and sleeps through the night.• Great walking, running, or hiking partner and cuddler.• He would need a good introduction to any cat in the home, as he is part Pointer, and they have a pretty strong prey drive.• Adoption would be directly through the Riverside Shelter, which can be done via email. • Please contact me for a meet and greet.

Story
Boone is an incredible dog. He’s loyal, intelligent, athletic, and deeply devoted to his people. He thrives when he has structure, purpose, and one-on-one attention. In the right environment, he will be someone’s absolute best friend. Boone would do best in a home that: Has experience with high-energy, working breeds, Lives an active lifestyle (running, hiking, hunting, or lots of outdoor time), Can give him consistent attention, training, and engagement and Does not have SMALL children. While Boone has been part of our family, we’ve seen that as our young kids have grown and our home has become busier, he has become increasingly overwhelmed. We move every 2-3 years (military) and this last move proved to be too much for him. It was his 3rd move in his 5 years. He deserves a calmer environment where he can truly thrive and feel at ease. Our priority is finding Boone a home where he will be understood, exercised, and appreciated for the amazing dog he is.

Story
This is Kate. She is a beautiful, 5 year old, German Short Hair Pointer. She has an excellent temperament, very calm, well behaved, smart, and house trained. She is very committed to her person. She is best as an only dog. She is about 55 pounds. She walks like a dream on a leash and would be an excellent companion.

Story
We rescued Dakota about two years ago. She came from out of state along with her mom and siblings and most likely lived in an unpleasant environment. We fell in love with her because of gentle and loving demeanor. Dakota has learned to be a wonderful indoor dog. For being a high energy dog, she tends to be fairly relaxed while inside the house. There definitely is potential for her to be left alone though we didn’t do that often being that we have 2 high energy dogs. Even though we were warned about her hunting instincts, we took our chances and introduced her to our cat. We are glad we did! They have become very good friends! The reason looking to rehome her is because of her extreme athletic abilities. Her deep fear of fireworks prompts her to escape every time there are loud outdoor sounds. Even out of her crate. At this point, we’ve run out of ideas/resources to keep her safe and would love to give her an opportunity to thrive in a more suiting home.

Story
Ricotta is a 9-year-old German Shorthair Pointer mix who is currently with her original family, but who now needs a new home. The small children in our household tend to make her tense and nervous, and this is not the best life for her or for our kids. Ricotta is spayed, weighs between 30-35 lbs, and is an energetic girl. She loves being outdoors where she can sniff, explore, go on walks, and interact with her person. She loves one-on-one attention, so she would do well as an only dog. And no kids, please. It is difficult for us to make this decision, but we feel it is in Ricotta’s best interests. We have tried working with a trainer as well as other options, but we feel we have exhausted all avenues and that Ricotta would live her best life in an adult-only home where she is the only dog who can thrive on the love and attention lavished on her. Ricotta currently lives in in south Orange County, but we are happy to meet a potential adopter in San Diego or midway for a meet and greet. We are asking a nominal fee for her adoption of $100, and if you would like to meet her or learn more about her habits, email Michael at michaelvmao@gmail.com.

Story
Toby is a stunningly handsome senior love bug that is 12 years plus ( per the shelter records, but we find it hard to believe)  and is so deserving of his loving forever family. Toby weighs approximately 43 pounds of love & sweetness and he has pep in his step and loves going on long walks.  He is so happy and is in his element while walking to the park or walking on trails.  He’s a gem of a dog just wants to be around his loved ones.  He was rescued from a high kill shelter with a huge mass on his tail, and once he was rescued went straight to our vet to have major surgery, which removed his mass and part of his tail.  He’s healthy and feeling better than ever, and would love a home to live out the rest of his sweet life.  Toby is neutered, received a comprehensive fecal test, is microchipped, fully vaccinated and received his wellness exam.  He loves lounging on his dog bed, loves stuffed toys and his favorite treats are freeze dried liver treats. Tony rides great in the car, loves everyone he meets and  is packed and ready for fun walks and lots of new adventures with his loving forever family.  Please open your heart and home to this very deserving angel who we all love and adore If you're interested in adopting Toby, please fill out an application at www.doggiebonez.com. You can also check out our social media pages on Instagram (@Doggie_Bonez_Inc_) and Facebook (Doggie Bonez) to see more of Toby's cuteness. Our dog adoption fee, which includes vaccinations, fecal testing, wellness exams, microchipping, spaying, or neutering, is $500. If adoption isn't feasible, please consider fostering one of our pups. We are a volunteer-run non-profit dog rescue and always welcome new short or long-term doggie foster families. Doggie Bonez will provide you with everything you need, including dog food, a bed, toys, medical attention (if required), and more. So, if you're interested, please visit www.doggiebonez.com to see all of our available dogs who need a foster family while waiting for their forever home and complete the foster application.March 8, 2026, 12:19 am

Story
Meet Ranger, the black Lab/Pointer mix with a heart full of love. Through no fault of his own, his family has to give him up, so Ranger is looking for a new forever family. He hasn't let that dampen his spirit, though. This loveable goofball is the perfect blend of playful and laid-back. He's great with kids and other dogs, house-trained, and knows his manners. Ranger adores long walks, belly rubs, and making people laugh with his goofy antics. Whether you're out on an adventure or curled up at home, Ranger is happiest by your side. He's ready to bring joy, love, and laughter to a family who will cherish him forever. Will you be that family for him? Please visit our website www.promise4paws.org to fill out an adoption application to this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.
