Story
Ricotta is a 9-year-old German Shorthair Pointer mix who is currently with her original family, but who now needs a new home. The small children in our household tend to make her tense and nervous, and this is not the best life for her or for our kids. Ricotta is spayed, weighs between 30-35 lbs, and is an energetic girl. She loves being outdoors where she can sniff, explore, go on walks, and interact with her person. She loves one-on-one attention, so she would do well as an only dog. And no kids, please. It is difficult for us to make this decision, but we feel it is in Ricotta’s best interests. We have tried working with a trainer as well as other options, but we feel we have exhausted all avenues and that Ricotta would live her best life in an adult-only home where she is the only dog who can thrive on the love and attention lavished on her. Ricotta currently lives in in south Orange County, but we are happy to meet a potential adopter in San Diego or midway for a meet and greet. We are asking a nominal fee for her adoption of $100, and if you would like to meet her or learn more about her habits, email Michael at michaelvmao@gmail.com.

Story
Boone is an incredible dog. He’s loyal, intelligent, athletic, and deeply devoted to his people. He thrives when he has structure, purpose, and one-on-one attention. In the right environment, he will be someone’s absolute best friend. Boone would do best in a home that: Has experience with high-energy, working breeds, Lives an active lifestyle (running, hiking, hunting, or lots of outdoor time), Can give him consistent attention, training, and engagement and Does not have SMALL children. While Boone has been part of our family, we’ve seen that as our young kids have grown and our home has become busier, he has become increasingly overwhelmed. We move every 2-3 years (military) and this last move proved to be too much for him. It was his 3rd move in his 5 years. He deserves a calmer environment where he can truly thrive and feel at ease. Our priority is finding Boone a home where he will be understood, exercised, and appreciated for the amazing dog he is.

Story
This is a courtesy listing, not a SPOT Rescue dog. For more information regarding Kiwi, contact Diana below.. Meet Kiwi, a beautiful 1½-year-old Lab/Pointer/Shep mix weighing 30 pounds. She’s the perfect combination of playful, gentle, and loving—just looking for the family who will give her a chance to shine. Kiwi may be a little shy when meeting new people, but don’t let her timid first impression fool you. Once she feels safe, she blossoms into an incredibly affectionate and loyal companion who loves being close to her people. All she needs is a little patience and kindness, and she’ll reward you with a lifetime of unconditional love. Kiwi is already potty trained, uses a dog door, and is crate trained. In fact, she loves her kennel and will often go there on her own when she’s ready to relax or take a nap. She’s also working on her leash skills and continues to gain confidence every day. She has a playful side too! Kiwi loves toys, enjoys running around the yard, and is happiest when she has room to play and explore. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, is cat friendly, and adores children, making her a fantastic addition to a family with other pets or kids. Kiwi is searching for a patient, loving home that will help her continue building confidence and show her that the world is a safe place. Once you earn her trust, you’ll discover a devoted best friend who will love you with her whole heart. Diana Daniels 716-912-8733
