Story
Meet Bear! An 80 lb, 1.5-yr-old Great Dane/GSP mix fostered in 29 Palms. Visiting Santa Clarita/SCV in mid-September for meet-and-greets!• Personality: High-energy, intelligent "shadow dog" who leans in for hugs and deep affection. Good with people once given a moment to slowly warm up. • Pack & Manners: Great with other dogs! Fully house-trained and crate-trained. Thrives on a steady daily routine. • Travel: Rides quietly in the vehicle, but experiences significant anxiety and car sickness/nausea. We recommend he travels on an empty stomach for scheduled rides. • Activity & Home: Athletic stamina for adventures. Needs an active home with a secure, solid fence (he is a clever problem solver when bored). • Health: Neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, vet-checked in August 2026, with a low-maintenance short coat.Apply today to meet Bear during his SCV visit or in the High Desert!

Story
Molly is an incredibly resilient little girl who's making amazing progress every single day! When we found her, she could barely walk. Now she's confidently strutting on walks, breaking into the cutest zoomies, and has turned into a fearless little adventurer, eager to explore everything around her! She's the best of both worlds—snuggly on the couch and always ready for her next adventure. Molly has done wonderfully with children and has been gentle and friendly with them. Despite everything she's been through, Molly has done an amazing job with potty training and has quickly settled into a routine of doing her business on walks. She's also incredibly smart and eager to learn, already knowing "sit," "go to your bed," and responding to her name. Molly is the kind of dog who just needs someone to believe in her. She's curious, goofy, incredibly bright, and full of personality. Watching her blossom has been such a joy, and her future family will have the privilege of seeing her confidence—and her heart—continue to grow. ❤️

Story
Some dogs are special from the moment you meet them.We were at North Central Shelter for a press conference on animal protection when the shelter staff brought out a few adoptable dogs. Then there was Freckles. This handsome, 3-year-old Blue Heeler mix completely stole the show.He greeted every reporter like an old friend, knew exactly when to roll over for the cameras, and somehow managed to pose for the best photo of the entire event. But what really captured our hearts wasn't his camera skills—it was his calm, gentle, joyful spirit. As everyone packed up and headed home, one thought wouldn't leave us: Freckles had to go back to a kennel. It just didn't feel right.Freckles was surrendered by his former owner for no known reason. Despite that, he hasn't lost his faith in people. At the shelter, he did great in playgroups with other dogs, and since being rescued, he's also been gentle and respectful with the farm animals.Freckles is the kind of dog who belongs by your side. Your road trip copilot. Your Starbucks buddy. Your beach companion. Your hiking partner. The dog who's happiest simply being wherever you are.We weren't the only ones who fell in love. A wonderful farm rescue felt the same way and pulled Freckles from the shelter, and we're partnering together to make sure he finds the incredible home he deserves. Now all that's missing... is you.If you've been looking for that once-in-a-lifetime dog, we think you just found him. ❤️🐾
