He's 45 lbs, GSP/Australian Shepherd mix. Est. 2 years old. He is very smart, very alert, loves to explore, sniff, and run around. He loves other dogs and get along with them great. He also likes cats but does need to practice learning the boundary with them. Unsure how he is around kids. Pete is a velcro dog and will hang out by your side all day. He would prefer to tag along with you on your errands and doesn't love being left alone, but with enough treats and a good toy, he mostly does OK when left by himself in an enclosed area. He is eager to learn, loves to train, and is perfect for someone with an active lifestyle.

Boone is an incredible dog. He’s loyal, intelligent, athletic, and deeply devoted to his people. He thrives when he has structure, purpose, and one-on-one attention. In the right environment, he will be someone’s absolute best friend. Boone would do best in a home that: Has experience with high-energy, working breeds, Lives an active lifestyle (running, hiking, hunting, or lots of outdoor time), Can give him consistent attention, training, and engagement and Does not have SMALL children. While Boone has been part of our family, we’ve seen that as our young kids have grown and our home has become busier, he has become increasingly overwhelmed. We move every 2-3 years (military) and this last move proved to be too much for him. It was his 3rd move in his 5 years. He deserves a calmer environment where he can truly thrive and feel at ease.
