Though they’ve got a mix in their roots, they lean strong into that German Shorthaired Pointer look and spirit: athletic, eager, and ready to bond hard with their people. Surrendered to Hawthorne PD, their story starts a little uncertain—but their future? Solid, devoted, and full of purpose. These are the kind of pups that grow into your shadow, your sidekick, your ride-or-die. Good dogs. Faithful hearts. Just waiting for their person. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Story

We rescued Dakota about two years ago. She came from out of state along with her mom and siblings and most likely lived in an unpleasant environment. We fell in love with her because of gentle and loving demeanor. Dakota has learned to be a wonderful indoor dog. For being a high energy dog, she tends to be fairly relaxed while inside the house. There definitely is potential for her to be left alone though we didn’t do that often being that we have 2 high energy dogs. Even though we were warned about her hunting instincts, we took our chances and introduced her to our cat. We are glad we did! They have become very good friends! The reason looking to rehome her is because of her extreme athletic abilities. Her deep fear of fireworks prompts her to escape every time there are loud outdoor sounds. Even out of her crate. At this point, we’ve run out of ideas/resources to keep her safe and would love to give her an opportunity to thrive in a more suiting home.

HENRY THE FABULOUS!!! HE IS AWESOME!!!! He is so sweet and easy. He loves hiking, playing, snuggling and lounging in a pool! He appears to be a mix of Labrador and Dalmatian, with that type of energy. He is about 7 years young and full of pep and energy and loves to play! He is a darling gentleman. His best friend is a female pup named Malibu Barbie and they are all love. There is not enough room for all his pictures. We are trying to update. He is a medium size and loves to go for walks, hikes, the beach, and give love! He's also VERY DOG FRIENDLY. He absolutely loves life and is great with all dogs! He is gentle enough to keep a cancer dog company. He seems to be nervous around younger kids when they want to get to close or hug him. So we can only say he is best with older teens age 16 to adults to have a great life of fun! He deserves the best home and to be the best friend that he wants to be!
