Wes is a senior German Shorthaired Pointer deserving of comfort for his senior years! Although he is an older guy, he still has a lot of energy and needs space to run! Wes is great with all people, including kids. He does not know his size so he may knock small kids over. He is also good with other dogs. He is currently in need of a foster home! Even a short-term foster home would help this guy out! Wes has resided in a foster home for a while and is hoping to find that special person to love him! **PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDERS, as we reply.to all inquiries, the emails.will be coming from Everydogrescue@gmail.com, you may also email us directly.

Story
🐾Luna is out seeking her forever home!🐾 Luna is a spirited and athletic 3-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer who’s always ready for adventure. She adores people and gets along with other dogs. Luna is looking for a home where she can run, play, train, and put her mind to work every day. She comes from strong hunting lines, and thrives on activity and purpose. Luna is not a dog who will be content staying home all day — she loves spending her time exploring, learning, and staying busy. Luna recently completed her final veterinary follow-up and is officially ready for her new home! She has also been professionally evaluated through our behavior and training program by a certified trainer. She will continue receiving professional training until she finds her forever family. If you are interested in learning more about Luna or submitting an adoption application, please email Everydogrescue@gmail.com She is located in Rhode Island

Story
Kevin Henson is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home!    Meet Kevin, a striking pointer mix with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life. At about 65 pounds, he’s a playful, goofy boy who loves toys, food, and being part of the action. Kevin is fully grown, so we don’t expect him to get larger although he may fill out a little bit. Kevin is smart, eager to learn, and incredibly food-motivated, the perfect combo for training.  Kevin is a social butterfly with people and enjoys making new friends. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and always ready for a good time, whether it’s a romp outside or hanging with his favorite humans. Due to Kevin’s size and energy level, he would do best in a house as opposed to an apartment or condo. His ideal forever home would have a fenced-in backyard where he can run to his heart’s content. Kevin does have some leash reactivity in certain overstimulating situations (like adoption events) so he needs an adopter who’s ready to put in the time and consistency he deserves. With structure, training, and patience, this boy will absolutely thrive. Kevin just started private training sessions and is learning so much already! If you’re looking for a fun, loyal companion and you’re ready to help a smart dog reach his full potential, Kevin is your guy. If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter.   If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today! Be sure to check our Facebook page "Rhode Home Rescue" for details on upcoming events and other announcements.    April 12, 2026, 7:36 pm

Story
Hazel is a sweet, loving 5-year-old rescue who has been an incredible part of our family for the past four years. She was adopted from a shelter at about 6 months old and has grown up alongside our four children, making her extremely patient, gentle, and family-friendly. Hazel loves the dog park, playing in the backyard with kids, and relaxing on the couch. She’s wonderfully versatile—happy to play hard or lounge quietly. She is healthy, well-mannered, does not bark in the house (naturally- not trained that way), and happily welcomes everyone she meets (including mail carriers!), so she’s all love and not a guard dog. Her only small weakness is her love for people food. Otherwise, Hazel is truly a wonderful companion. We are heartbroken to explore adoption due to worsening dog dander allergies despite medical treatment, and we are committed to finding Hazel a loving home where she will continue to be cherished.

Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.
