Huck is an exuberant, friendly fellow. Nearly two, he is full of energy and enthusiasm, especially for hunting squirrels and showering you with affection. He loves to play, cuddle and select favorite toys from his toy box. He has gone through kindergarten and elementary obedience but needs consistency and reinforcement. He likes cats but his high prey drive makes it a cautionary friendship. He is an excellent pointer and loves to hike in the woods.

Meet Nellie! 💕🐾 Nellie is a sweet, affectionate girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She absolutely loves people and has a way of turning just about everyone she meets into a new friend. She may give a little bark when someone approaches, but once she realizes they’re there to say hello, she’s all about the pets and attention. Nellie would be a wonderful match for an active person or family who enjoys being outside. She has plenty of energy, strong athletic legs, and would likely make an amazing walking, hiking, or even running buddy. She’s still working on her leash manners, but she’s already showing that she can stay close and listen with some guidance. She’s also incredibly food-motivated, which makes training with her both fun and rewarding. In just a couple of weeks with her foster, Nellie has already made huge progress with crate training. She now settles much more calmly and will even choose to go lie in her crate on her own during the day. Nellie can be a little unsure about certain new experiences, especially things like the bath hose, but with patience, encouragement, and a little coaxing, she continues to improve. She’s the kind of dog who just needs someone willing to show her that the world is a safe and exciting place. After spending some time without the exercise and attention she deserved, Nellie is more than ready for her fresh start. She’s loving, playful, active, eager to learn, and full of potential. Tank is a 9 month old German shorthaired pointer. He a sweet, intelligent, affectionate, high energy dog. Loves to go on car trips and play catch. His owner passed away suddenly. We are looking for a loving new home for Tank. Someone/Family that can handle the energy of this breed to go for walks, play with him, and keep him safe. Tank is a Velcro dog and needs a owner that likes having a dog that loves attention and wants to be by owners side.

Whatever breeds came together to create this handsome little guy, they gave him the perfect mix of playful puppy energy, good looks, and a personality that's somehow even cuter than his face. Nero is exactly what you'd hope for in a puppy. He's social, affectionate, curious, goofy, and always looking for his next adventure. He loves everyone he meets and has become quite the little entertainer. Whether he's making up his own games, proudly carrying toys around the house, or bouncing through the room with the cutest mini zoomies you've ever seen, he has a way of making people laugh without even trying. Speaking of toys... this boy is obsessed! Nero can keep himself entertained for ages, happily tossing toys around, pouncing on them, and creating his own little puppy party. Every now and then he'll get so excited while playing that he'll break out into a burst of solo zoomies before going right back to playing like nothing happened. It's absolutely hilarious to watch. Once he's finally worn himself out, he's more than happy to curl up for a nap before doing it all over again. And when playtime is over? He transforms into the sweetest little cuddle bug and happily follows his foster from room to room like the perfect little shadow. If you're moving around the house, chances are Nero won't be far behind because he simply wants to be wherever his people are. Nero currently lives with four other dogs ranging from small to large and gets along wonderfully with all of them. Like any puppy, he'd love for everyone to play as much as he does... unfortunately for him, the resident dogs don't always share his enthusiasm! Even so, he enjoys their company and would likely thrive with another playful dog who could match his puppy energy. He's also fostered with free-roaming cats and has done well with them, making him a wonderful candidate for a home with feline friends too. Nero has also spent time around children as young as three years old while accompanying his foster to work, and he absolutely loves all the attention. He's always excited to make new friends and happily plays with the kids who come to visit. He's already crate trained and does a wonderful job, only whining when he needs to go outside to potty. Potty training is going well too! Like any young puppy, he's still learning where the appropriate place to go is, but he's a smart little guy who's picking things up quickly. With routine, structure, and consistency, we think he'll continue making great progress. He's also incredibly food motivated and eager to learn. Nero is already learning "sit" and has picked it up quickly, making training both fun and rewarding. He's the kind of puppy who's excited to work with you, especially if treats are involved. Now, because Nero is a puppy, he's very much in his "everything is a toy" phase of life. That includes your hands! He's mouthy in that typical puppy way and will need a family committed to continuing his training and helping him learn appropriate manners as he grows. The good news is he's eager to please, responds well to learning, and has all the makings of an amazing lifelong companion. We think Nero would do wonderfully with a semi-active family that's excited to embrace all the fun that comes with raising a puppy. 🚜💚 Say hello to John Deere, better known as JD! 💚🚜 JD is a 2.5-year-old, 55-pound gentleman who is believed to be a Pit Bull Terrier/German Shorthaired Pointer mix. Of course, with rescue dogs, breed is always an educated guess! What isn’t a guess is just how devoted, affectionate, and entertaining this guy can be. JD is looking for a family to call his own and has so much companionship to offer. JD already has many of the skills that make transitioning into a new home easier. He is completely house-trained, potty-trained, and comfortable in his kennel. He behaves beautifully both in and out of his crate and is able to hang out around the house without getting into things or causing trouble. More than anything, JD simply enjoys being part of whatever his humans are doing. You might find him lounging outside in the sunshine, tagging along while chores get done, strolling around the property to visit the horses, or settling onto the couch with one of his favorite toys. He doesn’t need to be the center of attention, he’s perfectly content just being included. Toys are definitely one of JD’s favorite things! Durable Nylabone-style chews are a particular favorite, and he’ll happily bring one along when it’s time to relax on the couch. He’s also highly motivated by food, making training both productive and enjoyable. JD already knows **sit** and **shake**, accepts treats gently, and has learned to sit patiently before his meals. He enjoys having something to work toward, especially when snacks are involved! He genuinely enjoys canine company and becomes especially animated when he has a buddy to interact with. His introductions can still have a goofy, puppy-like quality, and his play style can occasionally get a little rambunctious. Give him a dog friend and you’ll quickly see just how much fun this boy likes to have! JD has also been around adult cats successfully. Kittens tend to spark more of his curiosity, so confident, grown cats would likely be the better match for him. Car rides are still somewhat new territory. JD hasn’t spent a great deal of time traveling by car and may initially feel unsure, but once he gets situated, he relaxes and likes looking out the window as everything passes by. JD could be an awesome companion for someone who likes getting outside, going for walks, exploring new places, or simply having a four-legged sidekick around for the day. Once the adventures are over, he’s just as happy trading the outdoors for a toy and a comfortable spot on the couch. With his solid house manners, playful spirit, willingness to learn, and love for both people and dogs, JD has all the makings of a wonderful companion. Jesse Freckles is his name and being the Director of Fun is game! Jesse Freckles is a well-mannered party animal in a very handsome spotted suit. He is confident, affectionate, wildly playful, toy obsessed, people loving, dog loving, and at the sweet age where he is under the assumption that personal boundaries are more of a suggestion than a rule. Jesse throws his whole heart, and occasionally his whole body, into having fun and sharing love. Underneath that enthusiasm is a smart, treat-motivated boy with a great settle. His style is rough, tumble, physical and enthusiastic, complete with some vocal commentary. He shares toys well, happily shares attention from his people, and genuinely enjoys having canine friends around. Jesse would love another playful dog who enjoys a physical playstyle but is also confident enough to set boundaries with him. He needs a buddy who can participate in the fun while occasionally informing Jesse that even recess has rules.
