NO LONGER ACCEPTING ANY NEW APPLICATIONS FOR TULIP.  We are processing the ones we have received and you will hear from us shortly if you applied for her. Tulip is a 1 year old sweet, curious female! Although it appears she has past trauma with humans, as she is still shy and a little nervous around people. She came into rescue from a neglect/abandonment situation. Tulip had a litter of 9 puppies over two months ago so she will be spayed prior to her adoption. She loves other dogs! Tulip loves being outside and playing with the other dog in the home. She also loves walks and runs, but could use some more training on the leash. Tulip is house-trained and crate-trained and will whine when she needs to go outside. She has not had an accident since she’s been with her fosters Tulip feels safest in her crate or outside in a fenced in yard. She shows a lot of curiosity about everything around her, and has shown zero signs of aggressive behavior. She would do best in a home with people who would give her the space, patience, and time she needs to fully blossom!   ##1771293##

Story
NO LONGERING ACCEPTING ANY NEW APPLICATIONS. We will processing the applications we have received so please watch from emails from our adoption coordinator if you applied for her.    Willow is ALL puppy! She loves to play and that is her #1 priority right now. She loves to play with any kind of toy but have found that the tug-of-war type toys she can play with another dog are her favorite. She has been great with every dog she has met. Big, small, male or female. She just wants to play and she will play hard! It has really helped getting her energy out having other dogs in the home to play with. They will play hard for a few hours and then she crashes. WHer fosters are working on leash manners. Right now, she has places to be so she will pull on her leash. Her foster would recommend a harness. Like all puppies, she LOVES to chew and will chew on anything she can get her mouth on. We redirect her to her toys and chew bones and she does great. Just have to be careful because everything is in the mouth with this one and she is fast! She is great with people of all ages and kids. Just keep in mind she still has her puppy teeth so she needs to be watched closely around the kiddos. When she sees a kid run she thinks they are playing and will chase and grab on to clothes. She just needs consistent training and patience but she is a smart girl and learns fast. She is very food motivated. She gets really excited about food and would keep eating if we let her. We feed her in a slow feed bowl twice a day and is fed in her kennel. She will go after the other dog’s food if she has the chance. She is doing great with kennel training and potty training. She is a sweetheart with a fun personality. Just needs patience and training and the sky is the limit with this one!! ##1771304##

Story
Rosie came back to rescue after her adopters decided she was not a fit for their family.  She was good with the house cats but not the barn cats.  They also decided that they wanted a dog that gets along with other dogs. Rosie has been in a board and train for the past few weeks to foucs on a lot of foundational work to build upon like structure, obedience, manners, impulse control and boundaries. Rosie's trainer will continue to work with her new family upon her adoption if needed. Rosie is a very sweet girl. She craves human interaction and contact and will follow you wherever you go so she doesn’t miss anything. She is great with kids, but she can be an aggressive snuggler and kisser with small children.   She has settled in well with her foster and enjoys exploring the yard and walks and snuggling on the couch or in bed when inside.   She has a fantastic nose and is VERY food driven. As such, she is a world class counter surfer and her owner will have to be very vigilant in keeping food out of her reach at the beginning.  She has gotten much better in her short stay with the foster with simple commands like No and Down and she could be trained to an acceptable level with long term correction given her desire for that next treat.   She is wary of strange dogs. Her first inclination is to avoid them but after getting some level of comfort she will tentatively sniff and be somewhat accepting of their presence. She is not at all aggressive but may get defensive with overly exuberant dogs that make contact with her or bark in her face. We are requiring she be an ONLY dog.  She is OK with cats and just ignores them. She definitely should not go to a home that has chickens or any other type of birds.   Rosie shows little interest in toys or playing fetch. She will chew on hard toys and bones occasionally. She is an OK running partner but likes to stop and smell the roses occasionally so she’s perfect for a beginning or casual runner. She also walks very well on a leash and rarely pulls. She was trained for bird hunting and would very much enjoy an owner that gets her out hunting.   She is potty trained very well and can go long periods of time without going outside. She is crate trained but she may bark regularly while in there. She has earned the right at the foster to have free run of the house (minus the kitchen) during the day and has not had any accidents or issues yet.   The perfect home for Rosie is an active family with children over 6 yrs old where someone is usually around so she is not regularly left alone for long periods of time. A house with a fenced in yard or rural lot with room to explore would be great. If you fit this, please give Rosie a chance and you will be rewarded with all the dog love you can handle! ##1496986##
