Story
Meet Birch! Just like the tree he`s named after, Birch is striking, resilient, and impossible to overlook. This handsome Husky sports a gorgeous white and light gray coat, one dazzling blue eye, and one warm brown eye that make him truly unforgettable. True to his breed, Birch has an independent, aloof streak and enjoys exploring the world on his own terms. He walks nicely on leash and seems to get along well with other dogs, making him a great companion for outdoor adventures and neighborhood strolls.Birch is looking for a home that appreciates the unique personality of a Husky. He has a strong prey drive and will need a family committed to keeping him safely leashed or in a secure, fenced area. His finder reported that he got into the trash, counter surfed, and wasn`t potty trained, so his new family should expect to spend some time reinforcing good household manners. That said, Birch took care of all his business outside on his walk with us, so he may simply need consistency and a routine in a new home. While he isn`t much for a game of fetch beyond chasing the ball, he`s happiest when he`s out exploring, sniffing, and taking in the sights. If you`re looking for a gorgeous, intelligent, and quintessential Husky to share life`s adventures, Birch is ready to branch out into his forever home. The dog adoption fee is $110. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas. Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510.
