Mystery is a 3-year-old, 42-pound husky with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She has a fun, playful side that comes out quickly - especially when treats are involved. Food is the key to Mystery’s heart! Treats of any kind will instantly earn you zoomies, tail wags, and plenty of smiles. She loves snacks, loves people, and enjoys being part of the fun. Mystery also did wonderfully during bath time, showing what a good, cooperative girl she can be. Her foster home says that she seems to be good with other dogs and likes to sleep on the couch and cuddle up! She also enjoys just sitting outside and taking in the world. Mystery knows sit and shake! She likes to go for car rides and hang her head out the window. The dog adoption fee is $110 . They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas. Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510. Story
Pirate Radio is a sweet, sweet girl with ears so big they could double as satellite dishes—no wonder she was found wandering the streets looking for a signal. At just 1 year old and 43 lbs, this black-and-tan husky mix is still tuning in to the world around her. Change can feel a little scary (who hasn’t lost reception before?), so she may be shy at first… but give her a moment to adjust and she’ll start picking up the good stuff. Soft voices, gentle patience, and yes—baby talk—are her favorite frequencies. Once you cut through the static, Pirate Radio locks right in as the perfect channel. She’s tender, affectionate, and quietly hilarious in that “ears-first, heart wide open” kind of way. She doesn’t need much—just a cozy home, a steady signal, and someone willing to sit close while she fine-tunes her confidence. Adopt Pirate Radio, and get ready for a lifelong broadcast of love, loyalty, and very excellent reception. The dog adoption fee is $110. Story
I recently found Pearl around North Fort, JBLM. back end of November. We had looked relentlessly for her owners just to find out she'd been dumped. So, we decided to hold on to her and see how she does and how we do with her as my wife is already lightly allergic to our cats. However, Pearl is a husky and they shed a lot... So, it hasn't been a great time for her. Pearl loves to go for walks, and to play with you up and personal if you allow it. She is great on a leash with slight tugging issue. She is house trained if of course let out at decent times and intervals. We were told when we got her chip scanned that's she is up to date and is fixed..

Story
Schooner wandered onto the rescue property early this year. He got along fine with the ranch dogs and made himself at home. He was shy at first until he knew he was safe. Schooner is a lover. Just sweet as he can be. And he loves to run! And run! And run! He is absolutely gorgeous all stretched out in a full run around the property. Unfortunately he lost that privilege when he started killing the resident chickens! So no chickens or small to medium farm animals. It is simply husky nature to hunt so he's just doing what is natural. He does so so on a leash. Rides great in a car. Gives hugs. He is eager to please and would love a home and family of his own who will teach him all the good stuff about being a family. Apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note all dogs are located in San Antonio, TX. We advertise out of state due to the critical pet overpopulation problem here in the south. We use Your Texas Rescue Connection to transport the dogs to your area. They are all up to date and come with a health certificate. The fee is $180 adoption and $200 transportation = $380. Thank you for considering adopting a southern dog.

Story
Meet Lola — a 3-year-old, 66-lb fluffy, drop-dead gorgeous gray/tan/white Malamute babe who looks like she stepped straight out of a shampoo commercial and into your heart. Lola is the kind of girl who runs right up to you with kisses, loose happy vibes, and zero hesitation about making new friends. She’s curious, sweet, and serves extremely cute head tilts when she hears something interesting (which is honestly most things). She was calm and cooperative for all her intake care, happily exploring and soaking in the world around her like the soft-spoken explorer she is.True to her name, Lola is gentle, a little sensitive (she can be head shy), and much prefers cozy over chaos. Loud vehicles? Not her jam. Snuggling up in a calm home where she can relax, decompress, and fully blossom? Absolutely yes. She’s been pretty quiet in the shelter, but don’t let that fool you — this girl is clearly meant to be someone’s gorgeous sidekick, living her best “whatever Lola wants” life on a comfy couch instead of a kennel. If you’re looking for a sweet, fluffy soulmate with movie-star looks and a tender heart, Lola is ready to come home and get cozy with you! The dog adoption fee is $110. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas.
