Story
I adopted him 1 year ago... I own 2 cats and another dog but I would recommend having him as an only pet. I will provide a harness, leash and kennel if you would like. I am not a good salesmen..I am listing some of his qualities I feel like a new owner should know. He is on the higher energy side. He is mostly treat motivated for training. He loves to play (Me, my cat and other dog). He likes to play on the rougher side. The doggy daycare people like him. He loves puzzle games. He is cuddly and confident. Walk him away from cars. He hates cars driving near him on walks and will try and bite the leash, he got me a couple times, no blood. He is food aggressive with other animals. The reason I am putting him up for adoption is: He bit our other dog in the ear and made her bleed. Our other dog is old(14) and nippy with him. Usually he just dodges her... We think him biting back was motivated around food as it was in the kitchen after I cooked some pork.

Story
Schooner wandered onto the rescue property early this year. He got along fine with the ranch dogs and made himself at home. He was shy at first until he knew he was safe. Schooner is a lover. Just sweet as he can be. And he loves to run! And run! And run! He is absolutely gorgeous all stretched out in a full run around the property. Unfortunately he lost that privilege when he started killing the resident chickens! So no chickens or small to medium farm animals. It is simply husky nature to hunt so he's just doing what is natural. He does so so on a leash. Rides great in a car. Gives hugs. He is eager to please and would love a home and family of his own who will teach him all the good stuff about being a family. Apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note all dogs are located in San Antonio, TX. We advertise out of state due to the critical pet overpopulation problem here in the south. We use Your Texas Rescue Connection to transport the dogs to your area. They are all up to date and come with a health certificate. The fee is $180 adoption and $200 transportation = $380. Thank you for considering adopting a southern dog.

Story
Hi, I'm Autumn! I'm 4 years old and 74 lbs. I’m Sable, same age as my sister, and I weigh 82lbs! We are bonded siblings who grew up together and are looking for a home where we can continue to live and thrive together as a family! Our original family had us since we were babies. She raised us to be great in the kennel and we are potty-trained. We are pretty good on a leash but have not had to be on one much because we lived in the country. Our owner did not have the means for a secure fence, so we got out to wander. It's in our nature, after all! For our health and safety, our family gave us up from the only home we knew with the faith that there is a loving family who understands our wandering souls. We are great dogs! We have the Husky’s talk and would love to be your adventure buddy . We do get along with other dogs, too! We realize it’s a lot to take on 2 big dogs, but if you’re a Husky lover and have room for us in your home we’d love to meet you . We are also available for foster to adopt, but are currently being fostered in Okanagon, WA. Please fill out our application using the following link: https://form.jotform.com/232265690912155 * Friendly * Adventurous * Spayed * Vaccinated * Loving
