Kelsey is such a chill dog, who easily gets along with everyone. She has been introduced to men, women, toddlers, teens, big dogs, little dogs and loves them all. We are unsure about cats, but we haven't found much that fazes her. Things like fireworks and storms have zero effect on her. She does like to chase (more like a strut) birds, ducks and squirrels although she always turns back to see if we are watching. Kelsey enjoys walking laps while following us at the dog park, she has even gotten other dogs to join us. Outside she will happily walk around the yard, do her business and sunbathe while we enjoy our morning coffee. Kelsey loves to go for long walks when you have time to do so. She will happily sleep in your bed if allowed and hers if not. If you work from home, she's the perfect guest to quietly lounge or sleep while keeping you company. Although she's not thrilled about being left alone, she will do so without being crated and excitedly greet upon your return. As of now we still leave a pee pad down in case we miss her signs that she has to go out, Kelsey has NEVER used them other than pee and ONLY occasionally. Kelsey has a quirky habit of chewing her back paws, hip or front leg when she is nervous. Her perfect day is sunbathing outside before breakfast, long walk after breakfast, several naps and head rubs throughout the day, quick trip out before dinner, long walk after dinner, more head scratches and your bed for the night. Kelsey is 30lbs and 9yrs young. Adoption fee includes DHPP vaccine, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) heartworm testing, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, wellness vet visit, one month of pet insurance and microchip. All animals are examined by a veterinarian. Hi there! I'm Scotty, a playful 1-year-old boy who was surrendered to Big Dog Ranch Rescue because my owner could no longer care for me. I'm excited to find my forever home and share my love with a new family! I have a moderate energy level, so I enjoy plenty of playtime but can also appreciate those relaxing moments. I'm great with both dogs and people, and I love making new friends! One of my absolute favorite things is splashing around in water! Toys are a big part of my life, and I love to chase, fetch, and tug on them. I also thrive on affection; there's nothing better than snuggling up with my humans after a day filled with fun and exploration. I'm looking for a loving home where I can be part of the family and share lots of cuddles and joy. Hi, I'm Ron! I was originally picked up by Animal Care and Control and brought to the Ranch all the way back in 2014. I've been in a couple of homes, but they haven't lasted due to my quirky behaviors. I require a special handler for a special dog, because I can be pretty anxious in a home, I don't like to share my stuff, and I'm a total introvert. That means I need to be properly introduced to strangers and should not live in any home with children or frequent guests. That doesn't mean I don't like people though, cause once I open up I'm the sweetest, most loyal boy you'll meet. I love other dogs and even cats as well! Plus, I'm super food motivated and have learned some tricks. I may be an old boy, but I do like to roam, so I'd like a nice yard, maybe with a pool too! I'm not too fond of small spaces like crates, you see. I'm looking for a retirement home to finish out my golden years, and if you've got the skills for the job, this old dog can learn some new tricks! If you're willing to open your heart and home to me, you'll be rewarded with a sweet, happy boy with nothing on his mind but treats, naps, walks, and ear scratchies!

Hi, my name is Vinnie. I've got quite a story to tell. See, back in the time of Covid-19, my person was no longer able to take care of me, and I was unfortunately separated from him. This landed me in a high-kill shelter in North Carolina, but thankfully, the Ranch took me in. I really miss being in a home, and I've been waiting since January of 2023 to have a new family. I know I'm on the bigger side, but I'm super loving and sweet! Plus, big squishy dogs make perfect cuddlers. When I'm not being a snuggle bug, I enjoy playing with toys (especially bones!), eating snacks, and exploring my yard. I like to wrestle with my roommates here, though I can be picky about the dogs I like to play with, so please make sure I have proper introductions. I also don't really love cats or other small critters, cause I like to chase things and I'm still learning the leash. We could even take some training classes together to really help! Training is fun, engaging, and a great way to increase your bond with a dog. My funky little ears are very eye catching, and I'm sure to have all your friends and family adoring me! I will give all that love right back!!
