Story
Cooper is a young, 50-pound Goldendoodle looking for his forever family after being surrendered through no fault of his own. He has been such a joy in his foster home and is now ready to find a family he can call his own. He is the perfect adventure buddy and cuddle companion, loves his daily walks and would happily join you for hikes and outings. His favorite part of the day is our morning 2 mile walk, and once he's gotten some exercise, he spends much of the day relaxing near his people. When he's not out exploring, Cooper can usually be found carrying around his favorite donut toy, playing fetch (he loves tennis balls), or curled up next to you while you read a book or watch TV. He's affectionate without being demanding and often quietly naps nearby. He's such an easy houseguest that there are times I forget he's even there, until he gently nudges my hand to ask for a some attention. Cooper can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and soon starts seeking out pets and affection. Once he trusts you, his sweet personality shines through. He is good with dogs, children, and cats when introduced properly. He walks well on leash, sleeps quietly in his crate all night, and is comfortable being crated when left home alone. He patiently waits each morning to be let out and never makes a peep. While he will alert bark when someone comes to the door, he's otherwise a very quiet dog. As a young dog, Cooper will benefit from continued training and guidance, but he is eager to please and has already shown what an amazing companion he can be. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who can join you on adventures and happily curl up beside you at the end of the day, Cooper might just be your perfect match. Cooper and his siblings arrived at Abandoned Pet Rescue with their mom Bambi when they were just hours old. They were raised with their mom in a loving foster home, and now that they are about 9-weeks-old, they are ready to find their forever homes. Cooper is the only boy of the litter. A DNA test shows that the puppies are 51% Golden Retriever, and their mom is a tan Dachshund / Chihuahua mix. Their mom weighs about 20lbs, but we do expect them to be medium-size dogs based on the DNA results. The pups are just starting to learn potty training and crate training so a home that has the time and commitment for raising a puppy is important. They are all healthy, loving pups that are already microchipped, vaccinated and will be spayed/neutered before adoption.
