Hi, I’m Alexa! I’m a playful, affectionate dog who loves spending time with my humans and other animals. I get along with dogs of all sizes and love making friends. Playtime is my favorite, nothing excites me more than chasing a tennis ball or showing off my zoomies in the backyard.I’m a great mix of energetic and chill. I enjoy running around on a cool day, but I also love perching on the sofa like a cat or snoozing with a soft snore people say sounds like an old man. I’m crate trained, house-broken, and potty trained, I even alert by ringing a potty bell. I’m cuddly, curious, and friendly with new people, and I’ve done well with kids under 10. Loud fireworks make me nervous, so I’ll happily settle in my crate with a squeaky toy, but elevators still scare me and make me shake.I’m a little quirky too. My forehead wrinkles into a big uni-brow when I sniff, and I sometimes come back inside with muddy paws and a big tongue-out smile. I love attention and will gladly come over for pets. I know my basics like sit, down, stay, place, crate, touch, and I’ll patiently wait at mealtime. All I want is a family who loves playtime, understands my quirks, and maybe has another dog for me to hang out with. If that sounds like your kind of life, I’d love to meet you!Love,Alexa

Polly is a sweet 4-year-old Golden Retriever weighing about 57 pounds. She’s a little on the thin side and would benefit from gaining a few pounds. She also has a wound on her leg that she came to us with that is healing. Before her rescue, Polly was kept for breeding, which has left her a bit insecure and shy when first meeting new people. With patience and kindness, her gentle personality truly blossoms. She’s adjusting beautifully to life as an inside dog, and she absolutely loves it! Cozy naps, soft beds, and being close to her people are quickly becoming her favorite things. Though Polly enjoys playing with her dog friends, she doesn't like to share with them. Because of this, we have determined that she needs to be an only dog in her forever home. She likely didn't get much one on one attention previously, so she wants it all to herself. This girl is very affectionate and snuggly once she feels safe. She loves to be by your side and will happily soak up all the love you have to give. Polly is crate-trained and currently working on house-training. She’s not yet comfortable walking on a leash, so a secure, fenced yard is rREQUIRED for her to safely potty and explore. Polly is a gentle soul looking for a calm, loving home withOUT a canine companion to help her continue building confidence. With time, reassurance, and love, she will make an incredibly loyal and devoted best friend. Thankfully, a compassionate foster stepped in, and Fanny has been thriving ever since showing nothing but grace, sweetness, and loyalty.In the home, Fanny is perfect. Shes house-trained, respectful, and calm. She sleeps soundly through the night in her dog bed, never chews, never climbs on furniture, and has only ever destroyed one thing a stuffed dog toy. Shes the kind of dog who follows you from room to room, not demanding attention, just quietly keeping you company.Fanny has been introduced to farm life, and while shes met all the animals, she does have a prey drive for chickens, pigs, and deer so a farm is not the right fit for her. Indoors, shes wonderful with cats, mostly ignoring them. Outside, she may chase if they run, but she backs down to confident cats who hold their ground.Shes incredibly social with other dogs and was instantly accepted by her fosters pack even the working Great Pyrenees. She sleeps peacefully near them, plays gently, and has never growled. She occasionally joins in barking at passing cars, but only when the other dogs do.Fanny doesnt know commands yet, but shes smart, eager to please. Her previous owner had an autistic son, and Fanny was his dog her patience and gentle nature suggest she could be a wonderful emotional support companion.If she didnt have a taste for chickens, her foster would keep her without hesitation.
