Story
A SWEETIE WITH A NICE SMILE:  6 Years old / 44 lbs. Hi, my name is Morgan!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control.  I was not a big fan of the shelter and got to spend a few days in a short break foster home, which is great because the volunteers can learn a lot about my true nature outside of the shelter environment which can be a bit stressful for me.   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I got along fine with the dog in my short break foster home, so if you have a dog already, let’s meet! / The kitty in my short break foster home was a confident cat, so our meeting went something like this:  She hissed, I gave a little growl, my foster said ‘no’ and we both walked away. I showed no interest in chasing, so – given time and proper introduction, I may even make friends with a kitty in my new home.  If you have a dog-friendly (or dog-tolerant) kitty, let’s meet! / I’ll be meeting kids again at the shelter soon, as my initial meeting demeanor with them was mixed.  I was ok, then stoic, then ok, then stoic, so best older kids only and of course, let’s meet!    • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  Though a bit timid for the first few days, I am a sweet and affectionate girl who responds well to attention from the volunteers who come to care for me.  I have a calm and gentle nature that you are sure to love.  I see myself as a big lap dog, and my short break foster said I was a really easy house guest, so I will surely bring lots of love to my new home. / My energy level is currently 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know a few commands such as ‘sit’, ‘down’ and ‘stay’.  I also walk well on my leash, so let’s make time for some continued training, as it is a great way for us to spend time together! / I did not like being in a crate in my foster home and I’m not a big fan of it at Mostly Mutts either, so perhaps I won’t need one  in my new home.  My short break foster mom set two beds up for me, but I chose to sleep through the night at the foot of their bed. I hope my new family will let me sleep with them too! / Though I’ve had accidents on the shelter schedule, I did pretty well with my potty habits in my short break foster home, so perhaps just a refresher is needed to master my potty skills in my new home.     • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love hanging out with people and really enjoyed lounging and exploring in the back yard of the foster home that I recently visited.  I’ve shown that I am interested in toys, so let’s plan some great play sessions together! Getting my coat brushed feels really good, and I will need it regularly to keep my fur looking great!  Include some wonderful head and neck rubs, and I am a happy girl! / Other than needing time to adjust to the shelter environment, and not liking being in a crate, I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am looking for a home where I will be a cherished family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  June 3, 2023, 9:55 am

Story
Hey there, have you ever read the children’s books - Biscuit Buttons and Pickles? Well, I don’t know who Pickles is, but I am Biscuit Buttons! I was born on 12/21/22, just before Christmas & New Year’s Day, because I am super special! I was adopted as a tiny pup, and my owner didn’t really know what I needed, so I am trying to find a family that can understand and love a sweet, handsome, food-motivated, 5-month-old, large-breed puppy. So large that I think only older children over ten years old would be best for me.    Yes, I am a baby, even though I may not look like one. I am looking for a family that will help me learn to be the best me! I love people and dogs, but I haven’t met any cats yet. I am personality plus, so smiles are a must! Oh, and I think I weigh about 40 pounds right now, but I am skinny. But I will definitely be bigger when I’m fully grown!   If you would like to meet me, I would love to meet you!         An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.           June 3, 2023, 8:03 am

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Montana is a very sweet and affectionate dog. She gets on the sofa with us in the evenings and will lay down beside us while watching TV. She is just over 1 year old born in March of 2022. We purchased her from a breeder in Missouri as a registered Border Collie but found out later via DNA testing that she is mixed as we could tell when we got her. She has some retriever, border collie, Australian shepherd and boxer in her. Montana is very smart and when she's super excited to see you after being separated for a while, I can say show me your teeth and she bares hers front teeth like a human about to brush their front teeth! It is so funny! She is fully housed train and uses a dog door to the backyard, can spend a day alone unattended while I'm at work. She is fully up to date on her shots and is chipped. The reason we HAVE to re-home Montana is that my wife is unstable on her feet and is afraid that she's going to get tripped up by her.

Story
Lala is a five-year-old, 90-pound (needs to diet) purebred golden retriever surrendered with a male golden named Ben. Both are amazing dogs that the owners couldn’t keep due to their newborn baby with allergies. They were lucky to find a foster who could take both, and they are doing great. UPDATE FROM THE FOSTER: Ben and Lala are unbelievably sweet, loving, and gentle. They both know multiple commands such as sit, stay, come, drop it, leave it, crate, fetch, and walk reasonably well on the leash. The only thing Ben loves as much as his sister is chasing tennis balls, which he will do endlessly. The only thing Lala loves as much as her brother is attention. They both ask for attention by sitting nicely and gazing adoringly at you; it's impossible to resist. They are crate trained, but they are absolute angels in the house. Both Ben and Lala get along with every dog they have met, including all five dogs in their foster home, including a very bossy terrier and a Great Dane who can be a bit of a knucklehead. These sweet pups grew up with small children climbing all over them, and they are fascinated by cats, but not in a prey driveway, simply in an 'oh would you like to love me too' way. Ben and Lala would do best in a home with an active family, as they love to run in the yard, play fetch, hike, and take long walks. They are not food motivated but are motivated by pets and loving words. These two are bonded, so they must stay together, and any family would be hitting the jackpot with these two. ##1728011##
