Story
Etta is a 1 year old golden retriever/german shepherd mix. She is house trained, loving, loyal, sweet. She does get a lot with bigger dogs and smaller dogs with some patience. She loves her people and loves kids. She will lay and cuddle all day if you let her. We had a house fire and need to relocate and cannot take her with. We want this sweet girl to go to a home where she will be loved.

Story
Tootsie is a beautiful middle aged gal. She was found as a stray in a neighboring community. She is estimated to be between 5-7 years old and if she could talk she`d say she is in the prime of her life! Her breed(s) are unknown but she appears to have some bird dogs in her lineage. She`s a perfect 51 lbs. and has a wash & wear coat!Tootsie is pretty firm in her beliefs. She absolutely loves chasing the ball and running with her foster dad. She absolutely wishes cats did not exist. Tootsie absolutely believes humans are better than any other reward on the planet. Tootsie, also, absolutely does not want to share her home with any other canines.Tootsie can be made to appear as if she a handful, a problem, questionable. When she first came to us we were concerned about all of these things. But we know one thing. Tootsie craves praise and adoration from her people, and she has proven that day after day. She wants this. It is an incredible thing to witness a dog shed the old persona and try a new one on, especially a reactive dog. She`s not always going to get it right, so she needs people that will continue to have her back and not try to make her something she is not. Tootsie needs to be the only pet in the home. She has made huge improvements and is now comfortable walking past and casually being around other dogs in passing. Beyond that she is an easy keeper. Want to go for a long hike? She`s your gal! Feeling like a couch day? She`s got the snacks. Tootsie is going to love her new humans with every fiber of her being. Who doesn`t want that kind of adoration?Tootsie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations. She has also tested negative for heartworm disease. Her adoption fee is $300.00 plus sales tax. Please submit an adoption application to find out more about our Tootsie!

Story
Hello! My name is Dillyn Mae and I’m a very pretty girl who just arrived from Alabama!! I was very happy to join 2 of my siblings already at my foster home. I’ve been around a lot of dogs my first year of life so I think I would do best if I can have another dog to love. My human mom thinks I’ve never been in a house before but she says I’m doing great! I’ve learned to go up the stairs and I even sleep in the big bed with my human family! I need more time on the leash, I’m still nervous walking on leash but can you blame me? It’s all new in my world! Please give me a chance….I have so much love to give!!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hi! I’m Dixie and I am just as cute as can be! I’ve just arrived from Alabama. I was very happy to see my brother in the same foster home! My foster mom thinks that I’ve never been in a home before but I’m adjusting pretty quickly. It only took 2 days to master the stairs. I was so excited cuz now I get to sleep in the big bed with my human mom and dad! I’ve only had one accident the very first night of being in my new home, I was just kinda nervous. My foster mom says I’m getting so much better getting leashed up and walking everyday. My doggy brother is bigger than me and he lets me jump on him all the time. He is so gentle and good to me! He spoils me!I would do best with another dog in the house to show me the ropes. I would do best with a fenced in yard. Please give me a chance and I will give you a lifetime of love and loyalty!Dixie is Heartworm positive and is waiting for a negative test result which can take 2-9 months after treatment. Her treatment has been completed and she will need a Heartworm test every 2 months to follow up on her treatment progress until she has a negative result. During these months, you will need to make sure her heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise. Dixie will also need continued use of monthly Heartworm prevention going forward. These medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Iris is a gentle, soulful girl who is quietly rewriting her story—one brave step at a time. Since entering foster care several weeks ago, she has shown just how much determination and courage lie beneath her soft exterior. Iris is still learning about the world, and while sudden noises or fast movements may cause her to pause, she isn’t overwhelmed by them. Instead, she takes a moment to process and keeps going. That quiet resilience defines her. Learning to trust people is Iris’s biggest journey, and she’s likely been let down by humans in the past. Her progress isn’t measured in leaps, but in meaningful, hard-earned moments. Every day, she’s gently exposed to something new, and every day she shows us she’s willing to try. Recently, Iris went on an outing to a store—riding calmly in the car and walking into a busy, unfamiliar environment that was intimidating for her. She was nervous, but she stayed present, walked through the front of the store, and even allowed several kind strangers to pet her. Though unsure, Iris chose courage. She didn’t try to bolt or shut down, and that alone speaks volumes about her potential. At home, the most beautiful changes are happening. Iris is in the very early stages of initiating contact on her own—small, quiet moments that might be easy to miss but mean everything to a dog learning to trust. These moments are the beginning of a bond that, with the right person, will grow into something truly special. One area where Iris already shines is on leash. She walks like an absolute dream and enjoys longer walks each day. She would be an excellent companion for someone who loves peaceful strolls and understands the joy of simply being together. Iris is incredibly gentle —just a tender heart and a deep desire to feel safe. Iris is looking for a patient, understanding home that will allow her to move at her own pace, celebrate the small victories, and appreciate the beauty of a slow-growing bond. She doesn’t need fixing—she needs someone who believes that trust, once earned, is one of the most powerful forms of love. Want to learn more? https://ragom.org/dogs/iris-25-161/
