Story
Meet Stormy, a nearly 9-year-old retriever mix with a heart full of love and a personality that’s impossible to resist. While he may not be the typical ball-chasing retriever, Stormy excels in the art of relaxation, preferring short walks, long naps, and hours of sunbathing in the yard. His calm demeanor and food-motivated nature make him an easy companion for someone seeking a low-maintenance, laid-back friend. Though his retriever instincts may not apply to toys, they come to life when treats are involved—he listens well and responds beautifully to reward-based training. Stormy does come with a few manageable quirks, such as his allergies (corn being one of them), which are kept in check with daily Benadryl and occasional Apoquel. He’s also a champ at tolerating baths, paw washes, and ear cleanings, especially if treats are involved! While he may need a gentle reminder now and then to curb his begging or excitement, he’s eager to please and quick to follow simple commands. Stormy gets along well with other dogs in his foster home and is wonderfully easy to walk on a leash, making him an ideal companion for any lifestyle. One of Stormy’s most endearing qualities is his subtle “talking” bark, a quiet sound to capture your attention, whether he wants to go outside or simply needs a little love. He also has an adorable morning routine with happy stretches and wiggles that belie his senior status. He gets a little anxious around delivery trucks or the front door but has made great progress in training and responds well to commands like “quiet,” especially when treats are involved. With a little patience and understanding, Stormy will continue to thrive in a calm and loving home. This sweet senior is happiest when he’s lounging near his humans, receiving a good butt scratch, or spending time in his kennel, where he’ll willingly go when tired. Regardless, he brings a sense of peace to every room he inhabits. Whether you have other pets or are looking for a solo companion, Stormy is ready to fill your home with warmth, loyalty, and quiet charm. If you’re seeking a devoted, easygoing friend who will greet you every day with quiet joy, Stormy might just be your perfect match. Want to learn more? If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Meet Gobbler! (er, Gabby, Gabby fits her much better!) Gabby is a sweet, approximately 6-month-old Lab mix with a heart full of potential. She was rescued as a stray by SPAC, so her past is a bit of a mystery. When she first arrived in her foster home, Gabby was understandably a little shy and guarded. But after just a couple of days, she quickly warmed up to the love and attention she was receiving, and now she enjoys cuddles, pets, and affection. Gabby has made great progress with her training, including both potty training and crate training, and she's been a quick learner! She’s still a typical puppy, meaning she’s a little mouthy, but she’s easily redirected with some guidance. Because she can be vocal in her kennel, she might not be the best fit for a home with shared walls, but she's sure to thrive in a more private, active environment. An active person or family would be the perfect fit for Gabby. She has lots of energy and love to give, and she’s ready to find her forever home where she can continue to grow and be the loyal companion she’s meant to be. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate puppy to join your family, Gabby could be the one! She'd really love to go home for the howlidays this year.  Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.  ##2237150##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi I'm  Candycorn !  I'm a beautiful lady who came into rescue with some secret cargo in my tummy.  I was a good mama and raised my babies and sent them all on to new homes.  Now it's my turn!  With new people and in new places I'll admit I get nervous and I either find a safe corner to hide in or I'll possibly bark.  At home with my foster mama where I'm familiar with things I'm a completely different dog.  I have the bestest happy smile, my tail doesn't stop wagging and I get the cutest dance and zoomies.  I gently jump against my fosters mamas leg so she can give me hugs and kisses.  Sometimes I kiss back!  When she stops I gently put my paw on her arm so she knows I want more.  I also love when she gives me chin and cheek scratches and I should probably mention tummy rubs are great too.     I get along great with all dogs and like to chase and wrestle when they're my friends.  I would do best having a doggie sibling in my new home so they can help me learn the routine in my new home and help me be more confident.     At home I am learning to walk on leash.  It's going great since I trust my foster mom.  It's fun jumping around in the grass and feeling the sun shine down on my face and the wind in my fur.  I haven't pottied on leash yet for her, but I do know that I should do all my business a fenced area so I do request one in my home.   I am kennel trained and I never potty in it.  I'm too smart for that!  I'm usually quiet in it too.  I know it's a safe spot when I need it too, though I prefer to be out hanging around my mom's feet instead.  When she's working I'm usually laying under her desk close to her in case she needs me.  You get treats there and pets haha!   I really like toys!  The soft ones are my favorite to chew on. I never had toys before rescue. I don't always like to share them, but I've learned mom will trade me for them and she'll gently play tug of war with me.     I haven't met any kids yet, but I think I'd be ok with older respectful kids who would be kind and gentle with me.  Fast movement and loud noises are overwhelming and I don't want to get scared and have to run and hide.  A quiet home where I can be a spoiled princess would be awesome.     Come and meet me and I promise you'll find that with a little time to learn that I'm safe and can trust you with my heart that you'll find a loving and loyal family member in me that will love you unconditionally! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.  Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses .   Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.   Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in th eir forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a    particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.     ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. Story
Welcome Bluebell to CCPAL Rescue. She is an Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix is our best guess. She weighs about 65 pounds. She is 4 years old. She is pretty good on the leash and is very affectionate. She is definitely a people person and likes strangers. She has one blue eye and one golden brown eye. She has the feathering of the Golden Retriever. She is potty trained and she does good with other dogs. She likes car rides and she has some nice commands under her belt. She knows sit, down, stay and takes treats nicely. She is in a home with a wonderful family that now has to take care of their older mom with dementia. Bluebell is a little big and young for an older lady with dementia so Bluebell needs to find a better home that has time to spend with her walking, jogging and hiking. Bluebell is good with other dogs and she will make an active family a great companion. Her long legs would make her good at keeping stride with a jogger. She is not over the top active and likes to rest and be affectionate as well. She would be fine with a moderately active family. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older She is healthy and has had her year long heart guard shot. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi I'm Anya!  I'm a sweet little lady who is looking for a patient and loving family who will love me for who I am and help me continue to find out who I will become.  You see, when I first came into rescue I was terrified of people.  My foster mama took things slow to gain my trust and now I follow her around to see what she's doing. The look of fear I had is now happy and curious most of the time.  I'd do best in a quiet home with no kids.  Their sudden movements and noises would be too scary for me and I don't want to have to hide.  I want to be able to follow you around so I can see what you're doing.  I'm doing well with being held and gentle scratches from my foster mama.  I know I can trust her.  I will admit I sometimes still get overwhelmed when approached and might potty myself.  When she needs to pick me up she says ready and scoops in me close to her.  Oddly enough, I like being groomed.  I'm good in the tub, stay still when she towel dries me and I'm not scared of the hair dryer.  I even seem to enjoy being brushed.  Maybe I just like being pampered haha!  I haven't figured out toys though I watch others with them.  I do need a secure yard and I know I'm supposed to do my business out there. I'm still working on the potty training though. I do also need a confident doggie friend that I can follow so I can learn the routine in my new home. Don't worry because I'm smart and catch on pretty quick. When I'm with my doggie friends outside I'm like a totally different dog.  I'm all smiles and carefree and will wrestle and do zoomies with any dog.  My kennel is my safe place and I will pop in and out of it during the day.  If the door is closed I feel a bit more confident and will give a little huff like I'm saying this is my space.  Don't worry because I'm actually a gentle little lamb that wouldn't hurt a fly.  If you have room in your heart and are kind and patient and willing to help me continue my journey into becoming who I was meant to be, then I'll take a breath and do my best to be brave when we meet.
