Story
Tootsie is a beautiful middle aged gal. She was found as a stray in a neighboring community. She is estimated to be between 5-7 years old and if she could talk she`d say she is in the prime of her life! Her breed(s) are unknown but she appears to have some bird dogs in her lineage. She`s a perfect 51 lbs. and has a wash & wear coat!Tootsie is pretty firm in her beliefs. She absolutely loves chasing the ball and running with her foster dad. She absolutely wishes cats did not exist. Tootsie absolutely believes humans are better than any other reward on the planet. Tootsie, also, absolutely does not want to share her home with any other canines.Tootsie can be made to appear as if she a handful, a problem, questionable. When she first came to us we were concerned about all of these things. But we know one thing. Tootsie craves praise and adoration from her people, and she has proven that day after day. She wants this. It is an incredible thing to witness a dog shed the old persona and try a new one on, especially a reactive dog. She`s not always going to get it right, so she needs people that will continue to have her back and not try to make her something she is not. Tootsie needs to be the only pet in the home. She has made huge improvements and is now comfortable walking past and casually being around other dogs in passing. Beyond that she is an easy keeper. Want to go for a long hike? She`s your gal! Feeling like a couch day? She`s got the snacks. Tootsie is going to love her new humans with every fiber of her being. Who doesn`t want that kind of adoration?Tootsie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations. She has also tested negative for heartworm disease. Her adoption fee is $300.00 plus sales tax. Please submit an adoption application to find out more about our Tootsie!

Story
This is a big boy! Kingsley is 3.5 years old and 95lbs! He’s been trained but unfortunately I had heart failure about 2 years ago and haven’t been able to truly get back to working with him. He has been raised in a home with 3 kids, 2 other dogs, a cat, rabbits and even chickens. He’s wonderful with grown ups but due to his size I don’t let the smaller kiddos around him much. I prefer he goes somewhere with land as he is big (way bigger than his breeder said he’d be) and probably with older kids. He loves to be around people but can roam in the yard all day. He’s a total sweetheart! I’m only rehoming him because he deserves a place that can give him more space. He has always been overwhelmed by our kids but loves them so much, he wants to cuddle but ends up sitting on them and he’s heavy! I can neuter him prior to new home :)

Story
Hello! My name is Diesel and I am 105 pounds of pure love! My family calls me the gentle giant! They say I am so patient, calm, and handsome!! I came to Minnesota from Alabama recently so I’m still learning the ropes of what it is like to live in a home. I overheard my human mom tell my human dad what a good boy I am. I let my doggy sibling jump on me all the time and she even gets crabby but I just take it like a good boy. She takes my toys and bones from me too. My mom has never once been worried about me. I love my walks and I will pee all the time on walks (I have never had an accident in the house!) but unfortunately I haven’t learned to do job #2 while walking. That’s why my family says I need a fence. I was nervous going up and down the stairs at first but I only needed gentle encouragement. I can do these no problem now!One more thing I’m working on…..going in the car!! Yep, I’m not comfortable with car rides. I don’t like getting in the car. Hopefully just need a little more time with these things. I know I will give you unconditional love forever and ever! Please give me a chance. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hello! My name is Dillyn Mae and I’m a very pretty girl who just arrived from Alabama!! I was very happy to join 2 of my siblings already at my foster home. I’ve been around a lot of dogs my first year of life so I think I would do best if I can have another dog to love. My human mom thinks I’ve never been in a house before but she says I’m doing great! I’ve learned to go up the stairs and I even sleep in the big bed with my human family! I need more time on the leash, I’m still nervous walking on leash but can you blame me? It’s all new in my world! Please give me a chance….I have so much love to give!!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hi! I’m Dixie and I am just as cute as can be! I’ve just arrived from Alabama. I was very happy to see my brother in the same foster home! My foster mom thinks that I’ve never been in a home before but I’m adjusting pretty quickly. It only took 2 days to master the stairs. I was so excited cuz now I get to sleep in the big bed with my human mom and dad! I’ve only had one accident the very first night of being in my new home, I was just kinda nervous. My foster mom says I’m getting so much better getting leashed up and walking everyday. My doggy brother is bigger than me and he lets me jump on him all the time. He is so gentle and good to me! He spoils me!I would do best with another dog in the house to show me the ropes. I would do best with a fenced in yard. Please give me a chance and I will give you a lifetime of love and loyalty!Dixie is Heartworm positive and is waiting for a negative test result which can take 2-9 months after treatment. Her treatment has been completed and she will need a Heartworm test every 2 months to follow up on her treatment progress until she has a negative result. During these months, you will need to make sure her heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise. Dixie will also need continued use of monthly Heartworm prevention going forward. These medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Meet Tulip! 🌸 Your new best friend is just a tail wag away! Just look at her great tail ! Tulip is a small mixed breed pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. With her curly tail, expressive eyes, and bouncy step, she turns heads wherever she goes. Don’t let her size fool you—this little lady is packed with love, joy, and just the right amount of spunk! Tulip is as sweet as they come. She loves cuddles on the couch, playtime in the yard, and belly rubs any time you’re offering. Her playful energy is contagious, but she also knows how to settle down and enjoy the quiet moments. She’s great with other dogs and gets along beautifully with cats, making her a perfect fit for a multi-pet household. Whether she's romping with her furry friends or snuggling up for a nap, Tulip is always happy just being with her people. Quick facts: 🐾 Small shepherd mix 🐾 Curly tail and spunky spirit 🐾 Dog and cat friendly 🐾 Sweet, social, and ready for her forever home Tulip would thrive in a home where she gets love, structure, and space to play. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a spark of sass and a whole lot of love to give, Tulip is your girl. **Tulip was recently diagnosed with renal dysplasia, which means her kidneys didn’t develop normally before birth. This condition can affect how well her kidneys work over time. Right now, Tulip is feeling good—she eats well, plays, and enjoys her daily walks just like any other dog. Her current care includes a special kidney-friendly diet and regular check-ups with her vet to monitor her kidney function. While there’s no cure for renal dysplasia, many dogs like Tulip live happy, comfortable lives for months or even years with good care and lots of love. We’re looking for a family who can provide her with a stable, low-stress home and continue her veterinary care. In return, Tulip will reward you with endless affection, loyalty, and joy every single day.** Due to Tulip's diagnosis we have reduced her adoption fee by 50%. Her adoption fee will be $330 + tax to ensure her future family can set her up for success with the proper food and vet support. If you’re someone with a big heart who believes that every dog deserves a chance at love and comfort, Tulip might just be your perfect match. 💛 All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped.
