Hi! I’m Dixie and I am just as cute as can be! I’ve just arrived from Alabama. I was very happy to see my brother in the same foster home! My foster mom thinks that I’ve never been in a home before but I’m adjusting pretty quickly. It only took 2 days to master the stairs. I was so excited cuz now I get to sleep in the big bed with my human mom and dad! I’ve only had one accident the very first night of being in my new home, I was just kinda nervous. My foster mom says I’m getting so much better getting leashed up and walking everyday. My doggy brother is bigger than me and he lets me jump on him all the time. He is so gentle and good to me! He spoils me!I would do best with another dog in the house to show me the ropes. I would do best with a fenced in yard. Please give me a chance and I will give you a lifetime of love and loyalty!Dixie is Heartworm positive and is waiting for a negative test result which can take 2-9 months after treatment. Her treatment has been completed and she will need a Heartworm test every 2 months to follow up on her treatment progress until she has a negative result. During these months, you will need to make sure her heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise. Dixie will also need continued use of monthly Heartworm prevention going forward. These medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. She loves snow and running around playing. She is very smart and learns fast. I live in town with just a little back yard For the most part she stays in back yard. She is scared of loud vehicle noises which just helps here stay in yard. She is not sure about car rides or baths. I will give her a little calming treats and it helps so much. I got her from a friend. I do not know all the breeds she is. I do know brown lab; blue healer, small terrier. She will stay a small medium dog.Since, both her mom and the drop off dad are the same smaller size. She loves attention; very loving; and playful. We would love to keep her. However, she gets to excited and doesn't understand my 7 month old can't play with her like the other kids and cat can.

I got Goose from a rescue in 2019 when he was just 10 months old. He is a sweet dog! Good with kids, lots of energy, loves belly rubs, car rides, pup cups and has the zoomies often. He is content and will sleep next to you on the couch or bed. He struggles with anxiety, often retreats with loud noises and abrupt movements. He has shown no signs of aggression in the 6 years I’ve had him. Now that we have young children, I feel goose would benefit with an owner or family that can give him more attention. He struggles with a leash but with reinforcement, he walks well.
