Story
Wybie is a best friend in a dog. He’s down for walks, joy rides, snuggles, going for a jog, really anything as long as he gets to spend time with you. He is very friendly and good with kids. He’s just a clumsy guy so he bumps into people and things often. He is friendly towards other dogs just gets excited because he wants to say hello and play. Does not get along with cats.. I’m rehoming him due to my husband passing. There have been a lot of changes that just have made it very hard to give him the life he had prior to this event and he deserves (decrease in pay, downsize from house with yard to a very small apartment, having to work longer hours to keep myself afloat, etc) I am really looking for an owner who can be his friend and give him plenty of time love and attention. This dog is very special to me so it’s really important I can find the right fit.

Story
Hi, my name is Sheila. I am from Alabama. Sheila is a happy active puppy. When she first came to MN she was very shy, skittish, and scared. It took her some time to warm up to us, is still wary of quick movements, and is starting to approach us with more confidence. She has learned the joy of toys and playing with my dog, Jasper. Sheila does well with cats; she mostly ignores them but is curious and tries to sniff them when she can but respects their space. Sheila freezes on -leash. Up to now she's only had it attached to a collar; she may do better with a harness so we're going to try that this week. She's "mostly" house-trained, I mean she is a puppy so that is an on-going effort. A fenced yard may be helpful since her leash training has only just begun. Lastly, Sheila is teething, chew toys are everywhere!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   *** Foster Home Needed*** We are seeking a foster home for Ezekiel (Zeke), a local owner-surrender dog that needs to come to rescue. Could someone foster him, so we can say, "Yes?" Maybe someone out there understands this breed, and/or can keep him somewhat active, or outside often, etc. stimulate him, for greater contentment? Please read below and let us know if you can, or please share! http://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms Zeke is a 5.5-year-old, 20 lbs, mini-Goldendoodle. Zeke loves to chase squirrels, bark at squirrels and delivery people, and play tug. He likes chasing after balls, frisbees, and sticks that we throw for him, but he does not like giving them back. As you can see from some of the photos, Zeke is great with cats. He's spent some time with other dogs and I think he'll acclimate to another dog who isn't aggressive with him. He can guard food and growl and has nipped at our kids when they're trying to put him in the kennel at non-mealtimes, though he is kennel trained and normally has no issues with his kennel, voluntarily going there when he senses we're getting ready to leave. Zeke has become very anxious at the groomer and they're now refusing to groom him without medication. He's very high-energy, pacing indoors and always wanting to be on the other side of the door, no matter where he is, though can happily spend hours outside in nice weather. He's a very vocal dog, barking and whining frequently. Overall, he's a lovable, intelligent dog who enjoys people and playing, and will be great with people who would like to put effort into training him to fulfill his potential. http://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms If you would like to learn more about Ezekiel, please submit an interest form on our website:    https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/   If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. http://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org *Adoption fees range from $525-$650, depending on the individual animal* redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue   All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, 4DX test (@8 months or older), microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention.  *Since we typically don't know a rescue dogs actual genetics, their breed and estimated size when grown on their bio is just an educated guess based on information and observations we have.*  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 13, 2026, 11:56 am

Story
Hi! I’m Dunne, aka Dune-buggy or Duners. Just thought I would stop in with a little update on me. If you’ve read my profile before you may know that I’m originally from Afghanistan and spent my first few years there. Because of my time there, we don’t know much about my previous life except that I was a street dog and didn’t live in a house. Now for the good update part. I’m really liking and getting the hang of this house living thing. The people and other dog I live with have been teaching me a lot of stuff and because of that I feel safer and more comfortable and confident so I do not need to always follow my temporary mom around everywhere she goes in the house. She keeps telling me that I am almost there to being a perfect gentleman. I now sit and wait for my food until I am told I can have it. Same with treats, I don’t try to grab it out of their hand. I do at times have a little too much energy and get a little too excited so I jump around or run up and down the stairs. So little kids or adults that aren’t steady on their feet might not be a good thing. I’m working on it, but sometimes I’m just too excited!!! I have learned to walk nicely on a leash. I stick pretty close to either person walking with me and do well when the other dog here is walking with too, but prefer to be with my foster mom if it’s a group walk. I get scared though of other dogs out or on leashes and tend to get a little reactive. We are working on it, but it’s hard to get over that fear. The people here have learned that I am not a fan of my kennel. I won’t fight it when they leave since the other dog here is already in his, but I get very scared to be in there. At night I don’t have to go in there at all now. This makes me so happy and grateful that I curl up and don’t move all night until it’s time to get up in the morning. Sudden movements too close to me or someone reaching out makes me nervous and cower. I am a lot better than I used to be, but it’s still a work in progress. I’m hoping to find a home that can continue to be more relaxed and patient with me as I continue on this learning journey. I like to lay around and relax most of the time and content with watching the world go by in the yard or deck as mom is tending to her gardens. I am a fast runner and need to get that energy out sometimes, so a fenced yard where I can run or someone that will take me on adventures to get that energy out would be ideal. I love to curl up on the couch with either foster parent and just be with them. Are you ready to be my cuddle partner?       Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 13, 2026, 1:22 pm

Story
Hi! My name is Meemaw Ivey, and I'm from Alabama! Would you like some sweet southern sunshine in your life? Meet Meemaw Ivey - an older gal who's sweeter than pecan pie. She's a bit shy at first, but a few gentle pets, treats, and some time to warm up, and she will melt into you. Meemaw loves her people, couch snuggles/naps, and leisurely walks. She is housebroken, low energy, walks great on a leash, and does well in the car. Meemaw is not crate trained; but does well when left out in the home alone. She may bark a few times to protest your absence, and will counter surf for a tasty treat if they're in reach! Her happy dance when you come home and the way she melts for pets are sure to worm her into your heart. Do you have a quiet house, a comfy couch, and plenty of snuggles to give Meemaw in her golden years? From the Vet: Meemaw Ivey is a gentle soul who is ready to let her true spirit shine. While she arrived with a few hurdles to clear, including demodex mange, dental disease, and heartworm disease, her resilient heart hasn’t skipped a beat. We are taking things one step at a time to ensure she feels her very best. Meemaw is currently beginning her journey to wellness, starting with her spay and the first steps of her heartworm treatments. To keep her safe and help her body heal, she will need a quiet, low-energy lifestyle with restricted activity during her heartworm treatment. This means more time for cozy naps and gentle chin scratches, which suits her sweet personality perfectly. About 30 to 40 days after her heartworm treatment is fully completed and she’s feeling strong, we will schedule her dental care. TBB will include her heartworm and dental care in her adoption contract. This ensures her new family can focus on what matters most: the quiet joy of a wagging tail and the comfort of a loyal companion.
