Story
Jake is an 8-week-old Golden Retriever puppy who I brought home from a small breeder in North Carolina. His mom is AKC registered, and while his dad isn’t, both are purebred Goldens — and Jake definitely has the playful, loving personality to match! He’s still in the early stages of crate training and potty training, and like most puppies his age, he’s full of energy, curiosity, and snuggles. I’m looking for a home that has the time, patience, and love to help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. Jake is sweet, smart, silly, affectionate, and always ready to explore. He deserves a home where he’ll get the attention, structure, and care he needs. This was a tough decision, but I want what’s best for him long-term.

Story
Sophie and Russell are two Golden Retrievers who have survived the trauma of a house fire and are now looking for a forever home where they can stay together. They are deeply bonded and rely on each other for comfort, so it's essential they be adopted as a pair. Due to their traumatic experience, they have specific needs. They require a home with no other pets, as they thrive best when they have undivided attention from their humans. A solid 6ft fence is necessary, as they are high flight risks, and it's important that their yard is secure. Inside the home, Sophie and Russell prefer to have free roam of the space, or at least within designated limits, as they like to stay close to their humans. They are calm and spend most of their day sleeping, but they will follow you around for security. Given their past, Sophie and Russell need someone who is home most of the time. When left alone, they have been known to chew on doors or molding due to anxiety, so secure caging or keeping them in a safe room when unsupervised is crucial. Additionally, their adoptive home should have secure windows with solid shutters, as they are escape artists and could attempt to flee if they feel anxious or unsafe. The ideal adopter will understand the trauma  Sophie and Russell have experienced and be prepared to manage their behaviors, such as chewing or escaping, with patience and care. Though they may present some challenges, they are incredibly loving and loyal, seeking constant companionship from their humans. If given the right environment, they will bring comfort and gratitude to their new home. If you feel you can provide the safety and stability they need, please reach out to learn more about Sofie and Russell. If you think you'd like to make Sophie and Russell a part of your family, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Story
At just 9 weeks old, Dolly is as sassy as she is sweet—a fun-loving, confident pup with a whole lot of personality packed into a tiny body. She loves to play (especially with you or a furry friend), but once she’s tuckered out, she’s a professional napper and world-class snuggler. Dolly is a quick learner who already knows how to sit, lay down, and wait patiently for food. She’s crate trained and working on her leash skills (she prefers leading the walk herself for now). She adores people, gets along great with other dogs, and has done well around cats in a previous temporary foster home. If you're looking for a playful cuddlebug with a bold heart and a bright future, Dolly Barkton is your girl!

With her shiny coat, sweet eyes, and puppy charm, she’s on the lookout for a forever family to help her learn the ropes and shower her with love. If you're ready for a pup who brings a splash of joy wherever she goes, Nerissa is your girl!
