Lucy is approx 8 yrs old. She has never has an accident in the house. She is very good with adults, toddlers, and children. She has become agressive with other dogs since living in an apartment but has lived with two different smaller dogs for several years without problems so she just needs time to get to know them. She is very sweet, loyal, and calm. She can get somewhat protective of the family and other animals with strangers but has never bitten someone.. she loves walks on a leash.

Story
ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Honeybee is a gorgeous Golden mix girl who found herself in a terrible high kill shelter in South TX. Thankfully we were able to beg for a foster for her and she has since settled into her foster home. We do not know a whole lot about her history but what we have learned so far is Honeybee needs a home with NO CATS. She is fostered in a home with other dogs but she does not do well with other female dogs with a strong personality. Honeybee adores her foster mom and follows her around so we think she would do best with in a home as an only dog so she could truly relax and be the best girl she can be. Older children would probably be best. Honeybee has some very endearing qualities and she thinks it’s perfectly fine to want to be the center of attention! She hopes you do too! If you would like to meet Honeybee, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Please go to roadtrip4paws.com and click on the Adopt tab to find a link to our online application. Story
Nolan is a super handsome, super friendly, 2-year-old Lab/Retriever mix, weighing in at 80 lbs. Breed mix is just a guess, and he is probably a mix of several breeds. That's what makes him such a great dog! INDOORS: Nolan (aka Marlon) is well-behaved, and he loves to cuddle and play with both his people and his dog friends. He is a smart, sensitive, and a very kind dog who tries hard to please. Often, you will find this fun guy pushing a dog toy in front of his people or his foster dogs, just hoping for a little game of tug or fetch. OUTDOORS: This charmer walks well on leash IF you have treats, however, not so well when walking with the other dogs as he competes and tries to get ahead of them. His foster boys take him to the lake and private dog park and he just loves being part of all that. Nolan enjoys a lively game of fetch with a tennis racket (he likes to go long) and ball (he drops the ball too!). He enjoys people of all ages, dogs of all sizes, and cats, too! This gentle, yet excitable young dog cannot wait to start a new chapter with you! The best home for this boy would be one where his people are home most of the time and where they will enjoy spending time with him. We believe he would really thrive if he could have a happy playful dog companion to have fun and grow with. And if you have carpet, all the better, as hard floors scare him. Please submit your application at www.humanetomorrow.org, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Adrien is a 1.5 year old, 80 lb Hunk of Love! He is a mix of several breeds, and mixed breeds are the best breeds of all! He had a rough start to life. He was adopted from Humane Tomorrow as a young puppy, but the family decided he wasn't a good fit. Instead of returning him to Humane Tomorrow (which we want and require), they gave him to a friend who gave him to another friend. He experienced a lot of change and lack of stability in his short life, and he missed out on the important training puppies usually receive. Adrien is now in a wonderful foster home where he receives lots of love and stability, and he is making great progress. Sweet boy Adrien (nickname Arlo) needs an experienced and patient pet parent to guide him in becoming the best pupper he can be. He takes a little time to warm up to people and other dogs, but once you are in, he lays on the love. He is smart, eager to please, and takes very well to training. He plays very well with dogs he knows. He has not shown toy or food aggression. He is fine with smaller dogs, but dogs his size make him a little nervous, He is doing very well learning his manners when dealing with people he does not know. He seems to do well with kids, but due to his size, we are recommending no kids under the age of 10. He loves being active and having playtime as much as he loves to be a couch potato and snuggle up to his human. He is kennel trained and house-trained. He has done well in an apartment setting, but really needs a house and a yard. He walks well on a leash. He currently sleeps in the foster mom's bed with his dog sibling and is respectful of both. You will not go wrong if you make Adrien (Arlo) your best friend. He has been remarkable to watch as he gets better and better every day. He is so loving and lovable. He really is a deserving and good dog that just needs a chance with the right home. You can submit your application to adopt him at www.humanetomorrow.org, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.
