M was bought from a breeder in Kentucky and shipped to Texas by plane. M was born July 2016 (she does not act her age she will literally run you out of breath) M needs a lot of attention. We just had a baby and she’s struggling a lot with the transition - just not for her. She needs older kids that give her the same energy she gives them. Right now we need her quiet and playing softly which doesn’t work out well. It’s sad.. but we’d rather give her happiness she deserves than make her miserable trying to prevent her from being what she is aka FULL OF ENERGY. M has a huge personality. Loads of energy and REALLY likes treats. She will destroy anything that squeak, she hates swimming. Will sit still for a bath and loves getting shaved down in this Texas heat. She doesn’t like being outside without people she will scratch your glass to tell you to let her in. She loves laying in the sun, but loves running around and playing 24/7 for the most part.

Lucy (golden) and Jezebel (doxie) are a bonded pair who need temporary foster care (until approximately June 2025) as their owner is currently in physcial rehabilitation after a stroke. They are not up for adoption, but do need a foster home. Copilot Animal Rescue will provide food and medical care for the dogs. A foster home will need to have all other pets fixed and a fenced yard. These are sweet girls who are dog friendly but will need the safety of a temporary foster home. Fosters must be in the North Texas/Southern Oklahoma area so the owner and rescue can visit. ##2314386##

This girl could spend hours waiting patiently for a glimpse of a squirrel in a tree in her yard or napping nearby, waiting for a long walk by your side. She is friendly with dogs and people and enjoys socializing at the dog park or with her foster friends, but she is also content to be the only dog around. She has refined most of those juvenile antics and is pretty well-behaved. She is excellent in her crate or around the home; however, she needs very firm boundaries and precautions around entry and exit points to ensure she doesn't venture out on her own! Irish Setters are known for their endurance and ability to chase moving objects at high rates of speed, as such they require well maintained fencing such as 6ft board/on/board or similar if they have yard access. She is terrific in her crate and enjoys time loose around the house. Punkin has prior obedience training, and with some initial reinforcement, she listens reasonably well. She loves laying out in the sunshine as much as hanging around while you work or play.
