Story
Hello! My name is Hartley and I'm a calm and sweet girl. I'm not a huge fan of toddlers, so a home with older kids would be best for me. I like long walks and yummy treats! Cats make me nervous, but I could live with one as long as we had separate calm spaces! You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet me today!!Adoption fee: $350All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. Story
·Intake Reason: Not housebroken·Weight: 50 lbs. Known with: ·Cats: Previously lived with 8 yr old ·Dogs: Lived with GSD/Lab x and went to dog parks ·Kids: Did great with 2 and 3 yr olds in home ·Personality: HappyI was rehomed 8 months ago due to a child's allergies. I previously lived in a house and my new owners were told I was housebroken. I was allowed to have free roam of my new apartment and although my new owners took me and my new brother outside regularly, they were not able to successfully get me potty trained. WCHS highly recommends an "umbilical cord" method to help me succeed in my next home. Crating me whenever my new owners are not home or able to have me physically attached to their side will help set me up for success. #1

Story
Cooper is a curious almost 3 month old puppy whose energy level is at the higher end of medium. He will do well in a home that can provide exercise and mental stimulation with games. He is a bright puppy, who I believe will excel, if given the opportunity and training. His recall is very good. He generally responds to his name or a whistle. He is crate trained and is now sleeping through the night. He takes about three naps a day – – generally after exercise. He still prefers to be in the same room as his person, or to at least have sight of them. As a general rule, he is not left in his crate, during the day more than three hours. However, this time frame will grow as he gets older. We continue to work on potty training. Which is an ongoing process with a puppy his age. He is generally taken out after meals, naps and playtime. We have not worked on general commands. However, he will sit before coming out of his crate, and before receiving a meal – – if you wait for him to settle down. He does need to be fed either by hand, or using a slow feeder. Otherwise, he eats his food so fast that he will regurgitate it. Again, this is something he may outgrow. He is a handsome little man who loves attention and snuggles. He will be an amazing companion to someone who is willing to put in the time and effort required to to train any puppy. https://grrow.org/dogs/cooper23-079

Story
Be the envy of all your dog loving friends with Elvis! He's gorgeous (those eyes!), athletic, sweet, and devoted. Did I mention gorgeous? Elvis loves nothing more than to spend time with you and has the stamina to hit the trails. He will fetch but after a while ceases to understand the point in the game. He's been in the water (pond) and hasn't shown any fears. Elvis has had some difficulties (and consistency) interacting with younger dogs (he's a big puppy at 1.5 years old). He has not been tested with a truly compatible adult male (the resident adult male is temperamental). He got along fabulously with the female that he came into rescue with and can be around the resident adult females. But we are looking for a home where he'll be all the dog you need. And when he looks at you with those eyes, your heart will melt! For more information about Elvis check out this website: https://grrow.org/dogs/elvis23-098

Story
What a smile, how is it that she's so happy? Janelle is a lovely soul full of excitement, happiness, and always ready to play. She has a curious nature and likes to investigate anything new. Janelle is a smiley, vibrant, affectionate and sweet . Like a good shepherd she is extremely loyal to her folks. Janelle was relinquished earlier this year and boy are they missing out on a good dog.  She is food motivated, crate trained, learning to walk better on a leash, she likes to play fetch and play in the lake. On one of her running escapades (before we owned her) Janelle got loose and broke her front right paw, unfortunately it healed out of its natural born position. At this time there is no need for medical intervention. It gives her no pain or bother and she gets along quite well. What we are learning about Janelle is that she was a wild child that grew up with no structure. This caused her to be a little nutty and reactive to strangers. We have her currently working with trainers an she is showing wonderful improvement an learning to trust new people.  Janelle has shown a sweetness towards children and she absolutely loves to be with dogs. She still needs to warmup to some new dogs but is quite playful. On leash Janelle still needs some training on her impulse control during social settings with both dogs and adults. She is very excited by cats and annoys them with her pushy nature, very shepherd like in character. Although she isnt aggressive, we prefer she only lives with dog savvy confident cats. We were told that she is a Golden Poodle and German shepherd mix. Her father was a very large golden doodle and mom was a shepherd.  The ideal home for Janelle would include some loving humans that understand leash reactivity and stranger danger in dogs. She really needs an owner to commit to continuing her socialization and training. A person that enjoys spending free time with their dog and will take her under their guiding wing and into the loving shelter of their home.  Kids over the age of 7 years old would be recommended. She can live with a housemate dog.  Some footage of Janelle from our trainers instagram: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cra4im8JwAL/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link https://www.instagram.com/reel/CrFXfgoAKFc/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link   Please contact us to learn more.
