Story
Echo - He is a Golden Retriever/ Husky mix that is 18 months old. Echo was surrendered because his owner was gone 10-14 hours a day. He seems to have some confinement anxiety caused by being home left alone so often. That is probably why he does not like to be crated or left alone in small spaces. He is on medication for the anxiety which is helping tremendously! Since coming to into rescue he has been neutered and is now fully recovered. His current foster wrote the following: Echo has made good progress over the last few weeks. He is smart and attentive and is learning a couple new commands and will follow his person around the house like a shadow. Having spent his first year and a half basically confined and not really having the chance to socialize and be a puppy, he is sort of going through his puppy phase now. He loves attention! He can be very affectionate and will try to climb up on your lap to snuggle. He acts like a 5 month old puppy in an 80 lb. body. Echo is a very strong chewer and will destroy even the most durable balls and toys in seconds and should probably be limited to Nylabone type toys. At least for now. While he is getting better, he still pulls very hard on the leash, especially if he sees a bird or squirrel. He should be in a harness or gentle leader on walks. A fenced yard would be ideal so he can run off all that excess energy. Echo is currently taking medication for anxiety and may need to be on meds long term. Because of the anxiety, he shouldn't be left alone for any long period of time until he feels comfortable in his surroundings. He can be a real sweetheart and with some training and patience, he could be a great friend and companion. Echo would do best with a fence for his energy and someone who can dedicate time to working on his training. Please reach out to valerie.paterson@grrow.org if you are interested in learning more about Echo! https://grrow.org/dogs/echo24-030

Story
The first thing you might notice when you look at Molly is that she has one ice blue eye. Absolutely beautiful. More than that , though , is her inner beauty. Molly has a beautiful, gentle sweet disposition even as a puppy. She looks like she's always smiling. She is, Ofcourse, a puppy so there's not a lot to tell. Most importantly she's very well socialized. She's in a foster home ( mine actually ) in Memphis, Tn. She is approx 8-10 weeks old. Once an application has been submitted and approved, I would be happy to speak with you about Molly, answer any questions, send videos, photos, etc. Once adopted, we use a transport company called Rescue vet transport to get our pets from Memphis Tennessee to the north east. They leave Memphis each, and every Friday morning around 6 AM. Once they start their travel, they start a group text with the two drivers and all the doctors who have a A Pet on board. They make stops along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. You will find our volunteer team to be very responsive so please , submit your application ready to Adopt. If you would like to make Molly a part of your family, please follow the link below to our adoption application. As always, thank you for adopting your new family member! https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9
