Story
Sven wakes up happy every single day. He’s the kind of dog that always seems to be smiling, always ready for whatever comes next, and always excited to be part of things without becoming overwhelming or chaotic. Sven is a one-year-old mix breed who has the coat and face of a golden retriever and the compact build of a heeler. He has a great middle-ground personality that makes him easy to live with. When it’s time to play, go for a walk, or hang out with other dogs, he’s fully in. But once the excitement is over, he settles down nicely instead of endlessly bouncing off the walls. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes and has a naturally social, easygoing personality that helps him fit into just about any environment. Sven has the fun energy people want in a young dog without the constant intensity that can make some high-energy breeds exhausting. Good fit: someone wanting a happy, social dog that enjoys activity but also knows how to relax and settle into daily life. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $500 (includes transport + vetting) Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit? Story
Meet Lucy, a gentle and sweet girl who is looking for her forever home. Lucy is about 4-5 years old. She requires a forever home who can be patient with her. Lucy lived a portion of her life not knowing love or human touch. She and her son, Jasper, were kept alive by kind neighbors who tossed them food. Now, Lucy is learning what it means to be loved and cared for! She enjoys watching the world out the window, going for walks (she walks well on leash), and being pet all over and brushed. When she sees someone she knows well, she greets them by squinting her eyes and smiling. If Lucy thinks her son, Jasper, is getting too much attention, she will insert herself so she gets all the pets. It is heartwarming to see a dog who was petrified of people enjoying being pet and loved on by those she has gotten to know! Lucy is good with other dogs and cats. Lucy is warming up to people, though she is not your stereotypical golden who will go up to anyone and everyone. She needs a home that is quiet and patient. Jasper gets a lot of confidence from Lucy, so a home with Jasper is preferable but not required. They have been in the rescue as they spent time decompressing and starting to learn to trust and love. They are now ready to find their forever home. See a video of Jasper and Lucy here: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/18gSY51A9W/

Story
Meet Jasper, a gentle and curious boy who is looking for his forever home. Jasper is about 3-4 years old. He requires a forever home who can be patient with him. Jasper started off life not knowing love or knowing human touch. He and his mom, Lucy, were kept alive by kind neighbors who tossed them food. Now, Jasper is learning what it means to be loved and cared for! He enjoys the simple pleasures in life: a dip in the pond on a summer day, quiet walks where he can take in the world around him, and the comfort of a warm home where he can watch the world go by out the window. While Jasper is shy and anxious due to his past, he is coming around and loves to boop familiar people with his nose. You can brush him and give him some gentle pets. Jasper is good with other dogs and cats. Jasper is a unique soul who is worth the extra patience and love he may require. If you're looking for a quiet, gentle boy to add to your family, Jasper may be the perfect match. He gets a lot of confidence from his mom, Lucy, so a home with Lucy is preferable but not required. They have been in the rescue as they spent time decompressing and starting to learn to trust and love. They are now ready to find their forever home. Story
Hi, I’m Toji — 75 pounds of joy, energy, and heart, wrapped in golden fur. I don’t do anything halfway. I greet every person like they’re my favorite human, every time. I’ve got solid manners (sit, stay, come — I know my stuff), but I also bring the fun. Think zoomies in the yard, wrestling with a dog friend, then crashing hard for a nap before round two. And when the day winds down? I’m all about the couch and close-up cuddles. Now let’s talk about the word that sometimes makes people hesitate: epilepsy. Here’s the reality — epilepsy in dogs is often very manageable, and I’m a great example of that. I take my medication every day (no fuss, I promise), and I visit the vet twice a year to make sure everything stays right where it should be. That’s the routine. Most days, you wouldn’t know I have it. Dogs with well-controlled epilepsy can live full, active, happy lives — running, playing, loving just like any other dog. The key is consistency: keeping up with medication, staying on schedule, and having a vet who monitors things along the way. It’s not about limiting life — it’s about supporting it. What I need isn’t complicated — just intentional: A home where someone is around most of the time (I’m okay solo for a few hours) A fenced yard so I can stretch these long legs A young, energetic dog buddy who’s ready to keep up with me I thrive on routine, activity, and companionship. Give me those, and I’ll give you everything I’ve got — loyalty, laughter, and a whole lot of love. If you’re looking for a dog who brings energy, heart, and a little extra purpose into your life, I’m ready to meet you. MY IDEAL HOME INCLUDES... · A young, active dog companion to match my energy · A securely fenced yard for running and play · Someone home most of the time (short absences are okay) · Commitment to a simple, consistent daily medication routine · Twice-yearly vet visits to monitor and keep me thriving If you’re interested in giving Toji the loving home he deserves, please email adopt@grrow.org
