Story
If you’ve been waiting for a dog who feels less like a whirlwind and more like coming home at the end of a long day, you’re going to want to meet Luca Doodles. From the moment you meet him, there’s an undeniable calm about him, the kind of presence that makes people instantly soften, smile, and lean in for one more pet. With his plush teddy-bear looks and gentle, soulful eyes, Luca Doodles doesn’t demand attention… he simply earns it by being exactly who he is. Watch his video and fall in love with this sweet guy: https://youtu.be/IO5DAfrfB84?si=slDEvh-AyW90V14L Luca Doodles is believed to be a Goldendoodle mix approximately 8 years old and currently weighs 61 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Luca is incredibly people-loving and greets everyone with quiet sweetness, like a friend he’s known forever. He lives beautifully alongside children and truly enjoys being part of a family environment. He’s patient, kind, and happy simply being included, whether that’s lounging nearby during family time, supervising playtime, or soaking up gentle affection whenever it’s offered. He has a naturally easygoing nature that makes him a wonderful companion for a home with kids. At the end of the day, Luca is happiest just being part of your world. Quietly nearby during busy mornings, relaxing beside you in the evenings, and offering steady affection that never feels overwhelming. With other dogs, Luca enjoys companionship more than playtime. He’s perfectly happy sharing space, relaxing together, or calmly coexisting rather than engaging in rowdy games. He appreciates the presence of other dogs but isn’t concerned with roughhousing or high-energy play. If another dog wants to relax, explore the backyard, sunbathe together, and simply enjoy each other's company, Luca is more than happy to do the same. He brings a peaceful, balanced energy to a home with canine friends. Luca also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. He did not chase Biggie, nor was he bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around him as well. We do not know if Luca has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for him to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Luca strikes that beautiful balance so many families look for. Affectionate without being demanding, calm without being withdrawn, and always ready to offer loving companionship. He’s the kind of dog who fits naturally into your rhythm, whether that means relaxing evenings at home, gentle outdoor time, or simply keeping you company throughout the day. He would love a home with a backyard where he can wander, enjoy the sunshine, and take in all the good smells at his own pace. While he enjoys time outdoors, his favorite place will always be close to his people, soaking up love and sharing peaceful moments together. Luca is wonderfully well-mannered. He’s crate trained, potty trained, and already knows how to sit. He aims to please and responds beautifully to gentle guidance. More than anything, Luca wants to make his people happy, that’s truly what this sweet boy is all about. On walks, Luca is a wonderful companion. He strolls nicely on leash, enjoying fresh air and quiet exploration rather than rushing from place to place. He’s just as happy heading out for a neighborhood walk as he is settling in afterward for a cozy nap beside you. Car rides are easy for him, and he’s always content to tag along wherever life takes you. If you’ve been searching for a loyal companion with a calm heart, a gentle spirit, and endless love to give, Luca is ready to step into his next chapter and become your devoted best friend. We are willing to test Luca Doodles with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Chippy is about 10 weeks old and ready for a home to call his very own! He's SOOOO sweet and snuggly and will be the perfect addition to any loving home. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Welcome Goose to CCPAL Rescue. Goose is a 6-year old Golden Retriever/Poodle –Goldendoodle. This boy is gorgeous. He weighs about 70-75 pounds and is a good weight. He is not a shedding dog and will need grooming to keep his coat in good shape. He is good with teens and in a group of dogs, he gets picked on. He is not dominant and hasn’t had a ton of training. He is a smartie and would love a home where he can be the center of attention and get training and attention daily. He has been around teens and we think as far as children go they should be 8 or older. He is a little timid but very sweet. He is energetic and smart. He would like someone that isn’t a couch potato to join him and play with him on the daily. He is getting neutered on Monday and has been getting his vaccinations. He will be ready for adoption in about 1 week. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 600 and transport is 200. He will get a lot of applications. Please be patient. We are a small group and we will be working hard to find this beauty his best forever home. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
