Meet Cashew, an adult (approx. 3 years old) spayed female Golden Doodle weighing about 17 lbs!  Cashew arrived in CT on 6/13. We are accepting applications for her now! She will be required to attend our adoption event in Dayville, CT on 6/14. Her foster said, "She is an absolute sweetheart who loves attention and enjoys being around people." If you’re interested in learning more about this adorable girl, please submit an application to see if Cashew might be the perfect addition to your family! Cashew is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special pup today! As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. Clara is a 4 year old very low key flat coat retriever doodle! Her family taught her how to ring bells on the door to let them know she needs to go out for potty. But last year her family had twins and since then she has not been getting near the attention she used to and has gained a lot of weight and has gotten depressed. She would love a calm home with a fenced yard and an easy daily walk. She hasn’t done much in her life other than living in the house and walk a couple blocks down the street and back. It will be a hard transition for her to leave and go to a new home so also looking for an adopter with patience and understanding about the transition process as she learns a new life. She is a lovely girl with a lot of duck fuzz for her on top of her head and crazy two toned hair down her legs. Welcome Goose to CCPAL Rescue. Goose is a 6-year old Golden Retriever/Poodle –Goldendoodle. This boy is gorgeous. He weighs about 70-75 pounds and is a good weight. He is not a shedding dog and will need grooming to keep his coat in good shape. He is good with teens and in a group of dogs, he gets picked on. He is not dominant and hasn’t had a ton of training. He is a smartie and would love a home where he can be the center of attention and get training and attention daily. He has been around teens and we think as far as children go they should be 8 or older. He is a little timid but very sweet. He is energetic and smart. He would like someone that isn’t a couch potato to join him and play with him on the daily. He is getting neutered on Monday and has been getting his vaccinations. He will be ready for adoption in about 1 week. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 600 and transport is 200. He will get a lot of applications. Please be patient. We are a small group and we will be working hard to find this beauty his best forever home.
