Story
Welcome Goose to CCPAL Rescue. Goose is a 6-year old Golden Retriever/Poodle –Goldendoodle. This boy is gorgeous. He weighs about 70-75 pounds and is a good weight. He is not a shedding dog and will need grooming to keep his coat in good shape. He is good with teens and in a group of dogs, he gets picked on. He is not dominant and hasn’t had a ton of training. He is a smartie and would love a home where he can be the center of attention and get training and attention daily. He has been around teens and we think as far as children go they should be 8 or older. He is a little timid but very sweet. He is energetic and smart. He would like someone that isn’t a couch potato to join him and play with him on the daily. He is getting neutered on Monday and has been getting his vaccinations. He will be ready for adoption in about 1 week. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 600 and transport is 200. He will get a lot of applications. Please be patient. We are a small group and we will be working hard to find this beauty his best forever home. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. 💖 Temperament Goldendoodles are well known for being: Affectionate and friendly — great family and therapy dogs Intelligent and trainable — they thrive with positive reinforcement and clicker training Energetic and social — need regular play and human interaction Good with children and other pets — when properly socialized They often retain the gentle nature of the Golden Retriever and the clever, lively personality of the Poodle. 🧠 Training and Activity Needs Goldendoodles are eager learners and benefit from mental stimulation: Daily walks, fetch, swimming, and puzzle toys Excellent candidates for agility, obedience, and service work Sensitive to harsh corrections — respond best to reward-based training Without sufficient exercise and attention, they can develop boredom-related behaviors (chewing, barking, digging). 🩺 Lifespan Average lifespan: 10–15 years Regular grooming, ear cleaning, and are important for keeping them healthy.

Story
Chicken Nugget came from Bakersfield, highest kill shelter in CA. So to begin with he is lucky. We neutered him, aspirated a small mass on his side (which has not gotten any bigger so we have not operated),his rear legs are crooked, we think due to a possible car accident years ago, but other than that he's in great shape, loves to play ball and canters like the breeze. He has gained weight which is a good sign. Approx 55 pounds now. His teeth are worn down due to ball chewing and paper chewing and he is a a counter surfer but what Lab isnt?. Thought to be approx 7 years old, he loves to run, take walks, good in the car, is very fond of our cat but like a lab, like to be around when the fridge opens and when food is near. He is intelligent and loves his human, has terrific recall and is clean in the house. He is an amazing friend. His eyes pull you in though a good grooming will really bring him up to speed! Adoption fee is $295.
