**LOCAL ORLANDO ADOPTION ONLY** Please apply only if you live in Central Florida and are willing to drive this precious pup to ALL follow-up appointments, including her spay and booster vaccines in Oviedo at 6 months of age. The cost of all additional puppy vetting is included with your adoption donation and appointments have already been scheduled by our coordinator. Thank you for your interest!Meet Marcy! This 5-month-old Poodle/Schnauzer blend is sure to steal your heart.  She currently weighs 16 lbs. and is looking for a committed, patient, and loving family to call her own. General Behavior: Marcy is a typical loving puppy who may be shy at first. Her foster has indicated she is quick to warm up and is learning her new routine quickly. Likes & Dislikes: Marcy enjoys a good snuggle on the couch next to her person. She is also a fan of playing with toys.  If you’re looking for a “sidekick”, she will gladly follow you around.  She is not fond of loud noises, such as cars backfiring, loud trucks or thunder.  We believe this will get better as she is exposed to more with a patient owner willing to work with her.  She hasn’t had a lot of socialization because she is so young . . . she has LOTS to learn about this great big world!  Training: Marcy hasn’t figured out how to tell her foster she needs to go outside to go potty yet, but she is doing very well as long as she is let out often.  She is also doing well on a leash and enjoys her daily strolls.  She does great on car rides too. Medical:  Marvelous Marcy is a healthy pooch who will just require her monthly heartworm and flea prevention. She will need to attend her follow up veterinary appointments in Oviedo for her spay and puppy vaccine booster.  Other Animals: Marcy was a little timid when first meeting her foster’s dog, but, once they started playing, they played for hours.  We think she would do great with another dog to teach her the ropes and to make her feel less anxious when her humans are away.  She could also be an only pup for an owner that is home more often than not and willing to work with her on her anxiety when they are gone. Marcy has not been tested around cats, but we feel a home without them would be better for this gal. Children: Marcy should do well in a home with children, as long as they are respectful of her size and that adults set boundaries since Marcy is a learning puppy. Home: An apartment or a single-family home would be ok for Marcy.  Because she is a puppy, she will need to be let outside every few hours, so a home where her owner is home more often than not would be ideal. Marcy also thinks a fenced yard would be great for her to run around and play. She settles well when it is bedtime and would relish sleeping in the human bed as she gets older. Grooming: Since Marcy is a poodle blend, she will require professionally grooming every 6-8 weeks.  The average cost for her grooming would be $60-70 and that cost should be considered by any adopter.  Overall: Anyone would be lucky to have this sweet puppy in their life.  She could be the perfect addition to your home if are are committed to being her forever home, have patience to train her and lots of cuddles and love to offer her.  The sky's the limit for Marcy. Interested in adopting Marcy? Please visit our website, www.PoodleandPoochRescue.orgwhere you will find the application to adopt. She will need to return to our Oviedo vet to complete her puppy vaccinations and spay, which is all covered with her adoption donation of $625. ##2048292##

Story
Meet Alice! This 35-lb poodle blend is just 8 months old. Alice isn't looking for Wonderland: just a wonderful family who will love her forever. General Behavior:  Alice is a sweet, wiggly puppy who is eager to please. She loves all people and other dogs. Likes and Dislikes: Alice adores playing with other dogs: she would be happy to play chase all day.  She also is a bit of a foodie who sometimes counter surfs. She does not like being in confined spaces. Training: As a relatively young dog, Alice will need a family who can reinforce her training and her housetraining. She's already made tremendous progress though. She walks well on a leash, is well-behaved in the car, sleeps in a dog bed at night, and generally has good basic manners. Medical: Alice is a healthy girl! She just needs her monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Alice loves all other dogs. She is not, however, good with cats (Cheshire or otherwise). She is a little too interested in cats and will try to chase them. Children: This loving gal is good with children of all ages. Home: Given her interest in counter-surfing, Alice would do best in a home with someone who is there frequently. She would not do well in an apartment setting because she whines and barks when left alone. She does not need a fenced yard as long as she gets a few walks daily.  Grooming: Alice is good at bathtime and is patient while getting cleaned. She does not shed a lot and is good while being brushed. As a poodle blend, she will also require professional grooming about every 8-12 months. Overall: Alice will make a wonderful companion for an active family who can raise her, train her, and love her forever. Could Alice be your Queen of Hearts? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with his foster family if it’s a potential match. She is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed, and she has just had her teeth cleaned. Her adoption donation is $500. ##2040788##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Tucker was surrendered to PRBJ because he was originally meant to be a service dog but was unable to carry out the necessary tasks required by his owner.  Tucker is a great dog that would be a wonderful addition to any family.  He is so sweet natured and loving, a very gentle dog. Tucker just wants to be close to his humans and has been around kids of various ages with no issues.  Tucker enjoys getting petted and knows several commands.  He walks well on a leash and would enjoy someone that likes to take him out to help him with losing weight.  We were told that he takes a moment to warm up but so far we have not encountered this.  He has liked all members of staff immediately and did not need time to warm up.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 18, 2024, 11:46 am
